They were on an integrated quest between starting the shield experiment and researching the mutant characteristics of the new monster. The location was distant from the residential area, which had been designated as a red alert zone due to the regularity with which monsters appeared in this region. When talking about this area, everyone's reaction was only a shake of the head. Thinking of how those monsters blasted across space in the same way that nightmares ripped through the serenity of the night really gave them a headache.

But there were always those going against the flow to reach the place where the others had escaped.

The world we lived in actually existed within man-made and named boundaries. They called it justice, morality, or equality. But was there really anything that was absolutely right when one story, from two points of view, has at least two distinct statements?

There were thousands of reasons to make excuses for oneself.

The one and only goal was to survive.

Their decisions and actions may have differed, but the purpose remained the same. That's why they showed up in this spot, holding their breath and waiting for the usual quake.

     - They are coming!

     - Left side, lure them to the marked location!

Voices calling out from the observation positions.

Roarrr

The deafening sound resounded before the sharp teeth began to sweep around. The moment those drool-covered mouths opened, making people wince as their imaginations led them to experience the horrible scent together with the loss of hearing sense, a clear snapping sound was heard.

The silence that followed made all that had happened before seem like a paused movie.

If only the sharp teeth weren't extensively digging through the covering layer that was shielding them, they could passionately describe the scene to the others when they returned.

Bang!!!

The hitting sound made their hearts skip a beat.

     - Stay still.

The lazy voice was heard in their minds.

They knew. That's the ability of Park Ji Hyuk from the Team of Leader Kim Rok Soo.

They secretly took a breath. That calm yet stern voice made people relax a little bit.

Bang!

One of the monsters threw itself on the outer layer, none of them dared to make even a light breathing sound.

Crack

The cracks were slowly spreading out right after one of the fangs bit through the layer. If this situation could be described briefly, it was like humans were trapped in an invisible cage among monsters.

     - Get ready. Back to your assigned positions.

All nodded and began to move, despite the more and more crazy sound above their heads.
