A chuckle rang over as Kim Rok Soo's gaze seemed to be back at the old days:
- I'm the only one who knows that my mother possessed an ancient power.
He looked like a child who finally found someone worth telling the little secret:
- Maybe it was because I was young, but I really liked how my mother said that it was a secret just between the two of us.
Cale Henituse decided to ask after a brief drowning in his thoughts but couldn't untangle the mess inside his head:
- Which ancient power did she have?
- Mmm.
Kim Rok Soo considered it for a moment before standing up. His move was a bit difficult, but he covered it well so Cale Henituse did not recognize. He moved away from the bed the redhead was leaning on and slowly walked around the bedroom as if what he was going to spill out would be too much and he needed something to distract him. Like moving around.
- My mother possessed a wood attribute ancient power.
Cale Henituse thought about the wood attribute ancient power in the Henituse territory.
'The Indestructible Shield.'
It was the first ancient power he got that surrounds his heart now and was used quite frequently by him. It was the power that was sleeping underneath the black tree that grew where the glutton priestess had died. The black tree had turned white and transferred the power to him when he woke it up.
- Ah, it's not the Indestructible Shield.
Kim Rok Soo seemed to have noticed Cale Henituse's thoughts as he instantly cut off the speculation. He then smiled after noticing the gaze:
- Told you I read The Birth of a Hero, didn't I? When the Indestructible Shield was mentioned, I knew you would have gotten that power for yourself. Am I right?
That was not a question for sure.
- Yes, I took it.
- Awesome. I had a feeling you would do that.
Kim Rok Soo shrugged his shoulders. He learned from the members and the old reports of their missions just to note out the contradiction of the real Team Leader Kim Rok Soo. That man would stand in the front line to cover his Team, which sounded reckless but not many knew he had planned it well before dashing forward. What would be suitable for that tendency? Calculated and insured risk? Anyway, the real Kim Rok Soo knew how to protect himself, or at least truly considered it, so it was not hard to predict when he learned about the ancient powers through the novels.
