⯎Chapter 12.⯎

(A little heads up there's a quick lil smut scene cause I was like- yk- bored ig so yea-)

You had arrived at the Zoldycks testing gate. (Thanks GPS-)

Zebro walked out of his office once his eyes had landed on you "Ah- Ms. Y/N, I was expecting you! But not this early, how have you been dear?" Zebro asked now in front of you, his smile making his already wrinkled skin wrinkle more, you two hugged quickly before you answered him "A lot had happened since I've last been here that's for sure" You answered, your tone plain but he could tell you were a bit tired "Are you sure you're up for this mission then?" Zebro asked with concern "Of course, plus both you and I wouldn't hear the end of it" You said in a joking manner, raising your left brow, he chuckled "Yes, yes, anyways I'm sure the Zoldycks will be happy to hear you got here early, you should head in now and please do be nicer to our gate yes? You almost broke it last time" He said with a nervous joking smile.

You nodded "Apologies, will do.. I'll see you later Zebro" You said, he walked back into his office and you pushed the gate open easily but also careful as to not break it. Once you stepped through, your nose was violated by dog breath "Hello again Mike, you already knew I was here didn't you?.. You're quite the amazing guard dog" You said scratching some scruff on Mike's neck gaining a playful growl in return "You gonna bring me to the Zoldycks again?" You asked Mike.

Mike had huffed and backed away revealing the Kikyo, Kalluto and Illumi who had been there to greet you "Not this time darling" Kikyo spoke "We wanted to walk you to the manor ourselves, the children were so excited to hear of your arrival, including Illumi, I swear I could see his eyes light up for once in his life!" Kikyo smiled, Illumi cleared his throat, his lips that were originally a straight line twitched as his cheeks turned a pale shade of red, he was also wearing a more casual outfit far from what he had worn as a disguise during the hunters exam "Y/N!" Kalluto ran up to you and hugged your waist, you patted his head and he let go, walking back to Kikyo.

You turned to Illumi and gave him a small smile, he took that as his 'cue' and walked up to you, grabbing your waist delicately, he pulled you into him and hugged you, picking you up a bit, he pressed you against his chest, he clearly didn't wanna let go. Kikyo even took a sneaky picture, Kalluto glared in jealousy and frowned "Y/N.." Kalluto mumbled, clearly wanting something.

You chuckled and looked down at Kalluto, Illumi looked at you, his eyes holding a hint of wonder and worship 'Even her laugh is...' Illumi didn't finish his thoughts once he felt you leave his hold, he looked down with a blank stare. You kneeled down to Kalluto and he had crawled his way onto your back, his legs figuring out a way to wrap comfortably around you. Standing back up with Kalluto hanging on your back you looked at Illumi, he knew what you wanted and sighed, he picked you up and placed you on his back, letting you adjust to be more comfortable, now he was carrying both you and Kalluto on his back but he didn't mind since you both weighed nothing to him.

Illumi had carried you both the rest of the way back, at some point you had fallen asleep, Illumi just listened to your soft breaths and sweet sounding mumbles and whispers as well as Kalluto who had fallen asleep with you.

Kikyo had taken multiple pictures before she rubbed your back, she was weirdly very lovely and motherly when she wasn't on crazy murderer, assassin mode and wasn't punishing her kids. Kikyo had woken Kalluto up and had him stand next to her after you all arrived "You shall head out for the mission tomorrow since you got here early Y/N" Kikyo said, her serious business voice poking out a bit more now that the topic was missions and work, you nodded in response and bowed "Of course" Kikyo and Kalluto said their quick goodbyes and see you later's.

You and Illumi began walking inside and down the halls of the mansion, the aura and energy felt a bit off, a bit different like somebody had walked through recently but didn't actually live or belong here, soon after your walk had began, you were close to Illumi's room "My mother hasn't told you who are mission would be with has she?" Illumi asked already knowing the answer, you looked at him briefly then shook your head "Nope, she has not" You answered, you stopped in front of Illumi's room, his hand rested on the door knob "Well-" Before Illumi could let out a second word, the door was launched opened "Oh Y/N darling!~" You froze and your head slowly turned to look at the source of the voice.
