"Cakes and kettledrum. That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the darkest parts of the woods? Alone!" Odette stood beside Lucy putting her arms around her shoulder as Peter said, "It's our only chance." Odette quickly signed, "And she won't be alone." Trumpkin walked over to Lucy and Odette and said, "Haven't enough of us died already?" With tears coming from his eyes as Odette grabbed his hand with a tight smile. Trufflehunter then spoke up, "Nikabrik was my friend too. But he lost hope. Queen Lucy and Lady Odette haven't and neither have I." Reepicheep then took out his word and said, "For Aslan." Then a bear in pursuit also said, "For Aslan." Odette and Lucy looked at Peter as he nodded when Trumpkin said, "Then I'm coming with you." Lucy grabbed his shoulders and said, "No, we need you here." Odette quickly signed as Edmund said what she said, "You have to help to hold them off until we get back." Caspian then spoke up, "If I may, Miraz may be a tyrant and a murderer, but as king, he is subject to traditions and expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy us some time."
Later that day Lucy and Odette had prepared to go riding to hopefully find Aslan. Caspian was helping the girls and said, "Destier has always served me well. You are in good hands." Lucy giggled and said, "Or hooves." Caspian smiled and Lucy then looked at Odette and said, "I love you Odette. Please be safe." Odette smiled and signed, "I will be my prince. Take care of my cousins for me." Caspian grabbed her hand giving it a kiss then smacking the horse's butt and they rode off into the woods.
As the 2 girls rode through the forest when in the corner of her eye she saw some of the men. "They've seen us!" They were riding faster and faster when an arrow shot. Odette looked behind to see Caspina with his crossbow with a smile. Odette in her mind made a point to thank him for what he did. As they kept going some men were following them and Odette tried to get rid of them but at the end Destrier got scared. Buck off the girls making them hide their heads till they saw the men about to attack but above them was a lion. Odette was in awe of the Lion as Lucy yelled out, "Aslan." The 2 hugged, making Odette smile and Lucy spoke up, "I knew it was you. The whole time, I knew it. But the others wouldn‟t believe me." Aslan then said, "And why would that stop you from coming to me?" Odette wrote in the dirt. "It wasn't her fault. My cousins are very eager to see what's in front of you to believe." This made Aslan chuckle. "Things never happen the same way twice." Lucy then said with a sad smile, "If I had come earlier... everyone who died... could I have stopped that?"
Aslan then said, "We can never know what would have happened, Lucy. But what will happen is another matter entirely." Making her smile and Odette smiled. "You'll help?" Aslan nodded. "Of course, as will you." But Lucy frowned and said, "Oh, well I wish I was braver." Odette walked over to Lucy and signed, "If you were any braver, you‟d be a lioness." Aslan nodded, letting both girls on his back as Aslan said, "Now, I think your friends have slept long enough, don't you?"
