I exited Douma's cult.

"Took you forever." Akaza glanced at my direction. "That kid was definitely spoiled, right?"

I shrugged. "Meh."

"Meh? You're kidding." Akaza narrowed his eyes.

"The sun will rise soon." Kokushibo changed the subject. "We will have to get going."

Muzan got up from the shadows, then stepped into the moonlight. "Akaza and I are going to head back to the infinity castle. Kokushibo, bring her to the garden and report to the infinity castle immediately. I would not be pleased seeing you in ashes."

"Yes, Muzan-sama." Kokushibo bowed, as both Akaza and Muzan vanished with a gush of wind.

Kokushibo offered me a hand.

"Let's get going." He said, and I took his hand.

He lifted me up and carried me, then started to run.

I relaxed in his arms, all the tense that built inside me while I was with Kibutsuji washing away. Being in his embrace felt nice and comforting.

After a few minutes, we arrived at the garden.

Gosh, I feel like I haven't been here in ages.

"I will have to get going now." Kokushibo gently placed me back onto my feet.

"Yes. Like Muzan said; I wouldn't want to see you in ashes."

Kokushibo nodded, his expression softening a little.

"I will see you tonight?" I asked, hoping the answer was a yes.

"I will be here." He said, looking straight at me, as if he was gazing straight into my heart.

We stared at each other for a while, before Kokushibo bowed slightly and went on his way before the sun rose.

I watched him disappear.

"You're back." A familiar soft voice welcomed me.

I turned, and smiled. "Uta."

"Have you found the cause of you and your family's death?" She asked, wiping her hands on what seemed to be her apron.

She looked more like a mother now.

"Yes." I nodded.

"Tell me about it." She smiled as she sat down on the soft grass.

I sat down beside her, and spilled everything that happened while the moon was up.

"What an unfortunate death..." She replied after I finished telling her about my night. "My husband was the first ever demon slayer, you know."

"He was?" My eyes widened slightly. "He must've been very strong."

"He was. And handsome, too." She laughed at her last sentence.

I smiled also. "I was thinking about visiting the demon slayers today."

Uta turned her head towards me. "Why? Aren't you ready to move on now that you've found out the cause of your death?"

I looked up at the sky. "Hm... I don't know. A part of me feels dissatisfied. I feel like I should go look for myself. You know, the demon slayer that killed me and my family."

"You can. I can tell you where their headquarter is located." Uta replied. "But you must be careful. Don't let your emotions take control. You are more likely to go corrupt."
