HE GAZED AT the woman beside him who was wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt, and shorts, and he fought so hard not to stare at her legs.

Fuck. He could already imagine them wrapping around his neck as he ate her.

He quickly shrugged those thoughts off as he approached Officer Amado.

"She's with me."

"Girlfriend mo, Sir?" He chuckled and shook his head.

"No." He cleared his throat. "My. . . partner. She helps me solve cases."

The officer's eyes widened a bit, as if he didn't expect a woman to help him with his work.

"Astig." Kuminang ang mga mata nito. He turned to Elisheva and raised his hand for a handshake. "Officer Amado po pala, Ma'am. The officer in charge of this case."

"Elisheva Quirace po, Sir. Ano po palang nangyari rito?"

He took a quick glance at her, and he almost chuckled upon seeing the coldness in her eyes. Right. She told him that's the way she is when meeting new people.

Cute and hot.

Officer Amado looked at them, his forehead forming a line. "Let's go to the van. I'll show you the details."

The officer started to walk ahead of them, and they followed. As they were walking, he couldn't help but look at Elisheva, whose eyes were subtly wandering from person to person, as if observing everyone around them.

He smirked at what he saw. Damn. How nice it would be to have the ability to read minds and know what's going on inside her pretty head.

When they reached the van, binuksan iyon ng officer and they went inside. It showed the latest victim, Jemmy Del Mundo, who, like the other victims, died of suffocation.

The file also contains personal information about the victims. Such as their birthday, age, blood type, gender, and everything relevant.

Officer Amado clicked his tongue, and when he took a look at Elisheva, he saw how her right eyebrow slowly arched as she scanned the information of the victims.

Napangisi siya. She knows.

"Hmm. . . Interesting. And someone who has a muscular build and can carry a body towards the pond. . ." Elisheva started, her eyes squinting. "I'm assuming na wala kayong nakikitang tire tracks, only the footprints, kaya niyo naisip na dinadala ng killer ang mga biktima niya papunta sa pond."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Wala po bang other set of footprints? Tanging isa lang?" Elisheva's forehead knotted while reading the files.

Officer Amado looked at him and wiggled his brows, as if he approved of Elisheva.

The shoes were quite big at talagang halatang-halata ito.

He brushed his hair. "The killer must be so confident, huh? He knows he's wearing the shoes that almost everybody wears, so everyone who has a muscular build and wears this kind of shoe can be a suspect."
