"WHY DID YOU choose the name Elisheva?" He caressed Enesha's hair, his fingers threading through the soft tendrils. Her head was on his chest, and her arms were wrapped around him. Nakapalibot naman sa katawan nito ang kanyang braso, and their legs were tangled with one another.

At this very moment, he couldn't ask for more. Just lying on his bed in this late afternoon with Enesha in his arms fills his heart with something he couldn't explain. Parang punong-puno iyon, at kontentong-kontento na siya kapag nasa bisig niya ito.

Natigilan siya sa narinig at napakurap, staring at the woman with awe. Yeah, he remembers that. Alam niyang si Elizabeth ang nasa Queen of Hearts, but. . . damn. The clue has been her name all along.

Nang makabawi sa pagkabigla, napailing siya at pinaningkitan ito ng mga mata. "You really love to play with words in a literal sense. The anagram made my mind blow, you know." Mahina niyang pinitik ang noo nito.

Enesha giggled and kissed his chin, an action that almost made him speechless. Fuck. The woman always loves to catch him by surprise with her sweet and cute gestures!

"Yeah. That's my forte, I guess. I remember when Mr. Gutierrez asked me to choose a name, and I chose Enesha based on our middle name and surname, thus the queen of hearts." She shrugged.

"Mr. Gutierrez?" The name isn't familiar to him. Sino kaya ito sa buhay ng babae?

She nodded and looked at his chest as she lifted her index finger to draw patterns on it.

"He was the one who adopted me. He saw me on the side street when I escaped. Ninong siya ni Alex."

Hearing that, mas lalo niyang napatunayan na wala siyang kaalam-alam tungkol sa kaibigan. The Futores—and he meant Enesha and Alex—are both mysterious. And if his friend wants to remain that way, he'll respect that.

His mind went back to Enesha's words, and a smile formed across his lips as he squeezed her shoulder. "I'm glad he was the one who found you." Baka kapag iba ang nakahanap nito, people will surely take advantage of her once they find out about her skill.

Enesha nodded and yawned. Kinusot-kusot nito ang mga mata at muli siyang tiningnan. She looked at him through heavy eyelids and sleepy eyes. Mukhang inaantok na ito.

"Gisingin mo na lang ako kapag dinner na. And I'll sleep again and wake up at twelve to do my work." Tuluyan na itong pumikit at mas niyakap siya nang mahigpit.

He couldn't help but smile. She seems more comfortable and open now to talk about her work as a queen of hearts.

Kissing her forehead, he hugged her tighter and closed his eyes.

"I WANT TO see the queen of hearts in action," saad niya nang bumukas ang pinto ng kwarto nito. Enesha, in her sleepwear, greeted him at bahagya pang magulo ang buhok nito na halatang kakagising lang.

Humaba ang nguso nito na para bang pinipigilan ang ngiti, at saka niluwagan ang pagbukas ng pinto. He went inside. Napangiti pa siya nang mapansing naka-on ang aircon nito.
