Rose and Steve sit side by side at the head of the table, everyone else sitting along the side. Howard sits to Rose's right, looking to his sister worriedly. Steve quietly takes Rose's hand under the table, as they continue with the meeting.
Phillps turns away from the world map speaking to everyone as they look at the world map. "Johann Schmidt belongs in a bug house," Phillps says, "he thinks he's a god and he's willing to blow up half the world to prove it. Starting with the U.S.A." Phillps takes a pointer, pointing to the continent.
"Schmidt's working with powers beyond our capabilities," Howard speaks up, leaning forward with his arm on the table, "he gets across the Atlantic, he'll wipe out the entire eastern seaboard in an hour." Steve and Rose gaze hardly at the images of the Hydra weapons, squeezing each others hands tightly.
Looking around the table, Gabe glances up to Phillps, "how much time we got?"
Tossing some papers down, Phillps replies, "under 24 hours."
"Where is he now?" Jack asks, looking over to Phillps.
"According to my new best friend, Hydra's last base is here," Phillps informs everyone, pointing to a picture, "500 feet below the Alps."
"So what are we supposed to do?" Jim asks, "it's not like we can just knock on the front door."
"Why not?" Steve speaks up for the first time, glancing over to Rose a silent conversation occurring between them.
"That's exactly what we're going to do," Rose finishes saying, looking down the table. "Steve and I will be the first to go in, make it seem like our emotions have clouded our judgement."
"Any chance you have a smaller transponder than the one you gave us in Austria?" Steve asks Howard. The man nods, looking confused. "The moment I active it the commandos will storm the base from this window." Steve instructs pointing to the windows in the side of the cliff.
"From there, Steve and I will handle Schmidt, the rest of you take care of the soldiers," Rose says. "Any objections?"
"None, good. Let's get moving," Steve says, as everyone rises from their seats and go their separate ways. Rose and Steve part, giving each other one more lingering stare.
Rose walks over to Peggy, pulling the woman to the side. "If I don't make it out of this, I need you to promise me two things."
"Of coure Ro, whatever you need," Peggy instantly tells her friend.
"Watch over Howard for me, make sure he dosen't lose himself. I want him to live his life even if I'm not here," Rose tells Peggy, "and secondly. Find Jaiying for me. Tell her I did find love, and I'll see her again some day, if at all possible. Find her and free her, please."
"I promise Ro," Peggy nods, tears brimming her eyes, "but you'll make it back. I know it."
Rose simply nods, the two women embracing tightly. Breaking away, Rose walks over to her bunk getting changed into her uniform.
