A Summoner's Story

Interlude to Birth By Sleep

Senna sat on her bed with her legs crossed, looking down at the good luck charm in her hands with a huge smile on her face. She ran her fingers over the red-tinted glass, as she stared at her reflection.

If there were any doubts left, they were officially extinguished tonight. She knew she found herself a new home with people who genuinely cared about her and would do anything to protect her. They never saw her as some sort of freak who was destined to cause destruction and chaos, and she knew once she told them about what she found out regarding her potential origins regarding the lunar eclipse, they wouldn't feel any differently about her because they know that isn't the person she is.

I wonder if this was what Papa had envisioned for me when he sent me away.

She clutches the charm in her hand as she uncrosses her legs and lays down on her bed staring up at the ceiling. Remembering how Aqua said these charms would help them find their way back to each other, she thinks Wayfinder would be more of an appropriate name rather than simply good luck charms.

Despite this threat from that boy in the mask, she was optimistic about what the future now held, it almost seemed endless now that she had others who supported her and that she would support with all of her heart.

As she started to drift off, she felt a familiar pang in her head.

Oh, please not another vision, it's been a while since the last one I thought they were done.

Senna's Dream

In all the other visions, she was always in the middle of what was happening but this time she was an outsider looking in.

This was where the last vision ended with the armored keyblade wielders watching as what was now can clearly be seen as two silhouettes. This time, however, the gust of wind died down and she could make the figures easily. She wasn't surprised to see the boy in the mask walking towards the armored figures, but the other person wasn't who she expected.

Master Xehanort?

Suddenly the short-armored figure was about to make a move at them, but the tall figure pushed him behind as he charged toward him. However, Master Xehanort responded by creating a rising plateau that carries the figure up and then lifts the ground above him and the masked boy and goes much higher.

Suddenly the masked boy jumps from the cliff and lands perfectly on the ground, causing the other two figures to go after him, as the other one attempts to go after Master Xehanort. The battle on the ground proved to be futile, as the masked boy proved to be evenly on par with the other two, even as the keyblade clashed with one another, he showed no signs of letting up.

Then out of nowhere, a cyclone appeared that was infused with hundreds of other keyblades, and the masked boy jumped onto it and surfed on it. The two keyblade wielders impressively were able to keep up, and the female used a lightning attack to try and hit him, but he immediately jumped into the air to avoid it. The young keyblade wielder attempted a surprise attack, but the masked boy produced his own keyblade and met his attack straight on, before jumping back onto the cyclone.

He immediately rode it higher into the air and knocked the gold and red armor figure off the cliff, he tried to use his keyblade to stop his fall but he just kept plummeting faster than he could stop.

The female wielder saw what was happening, and jumped up into the air to go and help her companion, but the cyclone out of nowhere came down on her causing her to crash right into the ground.

The youngest keyblade wielder came running over to check on her, as she slowly got up and her helmet broke off.

It's Aqua, so the other two are Terra and Ven.

Aqua immediately raised her keyblade and cast a spell that formed a barrier around Terra as the cyclone once again made its way at him. This time the cyclone brought him up toward Master Xehanort, with the barrier soon exploding causing him to fall onto the ground near Master Xehanort.

Aqua was trying to catch her breath as she looked up worried, while Ven started running off towards the cliff.

Terra quickly got up and started charging at Master Xehanort who had his keyblade ready, but he was able to easily block each attack Terra threw with his keyblade. Master Xehanort proceeded to use a blizzard attack throwing Terra back several feet. Terra was able to land back on his feet, but now his helmet was breaking from the bottom up, and his left arm now frozen.

Master Xehanort proceeds to raise his keyblade as if he is about to attack, but suddenly Ven appears behind him ready for a surprise attack, until Master Xehanort vanishes and reappears behind Ven, grabbing him by his helmet and starts to crush it.

Terra stumbles forward in an attempt to help, but the cyclone reappears forcing him off the cliff, with many of the keyblades battering him.

Ven was struggling against Master Xehanort's hold, as he proceeded to burn and then freeze Ven's entire body. He then throws Ven's frozen form off the cliff

Right before he could hit the ground, Aqua flew in and grabbed his body taking most of the fall damage, and by this point, his helmet was destroyed. Aqua looked down at him fearful, but despite his whole body being frozen solid he was able to move his eyes signaling he was still alive.

Master Xehanort then shoots a purple and blue ball of flame-like energy into the sky, which then parts the gathering dark clouds, with a shining blue light starting to shine down on Aqua. She looked up and saw a huge blue heart appearing out of the parting clouds.

Terra who could barely stand up, stuck his keyblade into the ground and then tore off his helmet. His face was one of pure anger, and suddenly his eyes changed from their deep blue color to yellow.

End of Dream

Senna shot straight up out of her bed, sweat dripping down from her forehead. She ran her hands through her hair and started pulling at it. She didn't know what to think or believe anymore regarding these visions, they weren't too frequent, but frequent enough to make her feel like she was going insane.

Each one that she's had always had some sort of doomsday feeling behind them and while she kept hoping they were no more than nightmares, something in her gut was telling her these were no mere nightmares. Something terrible was on the horizon.

She put her hands over her face, as she took in deep breaths trying to calm herself and keep herself from crying.

I can't go through this again, I don't want to lose anyone else that I care about.

After she successfully got herself a bit calmer, she took her hands off her face and turned towards the window and saw the dark sky slowly but surely getting a little brighter. Her eyes widened when she realized today was the day of the Mark of Mastery Exam.

Alright here is the interlude to Birth by Sleep, and boy what emotions I had when writing this short interlude. What are you guys thinking about these visions, do you think they are subjective to interpretation? Remember this is only a glimpse, there is so much more to them than meets the eye.
