"Vidhya"

I  turned and saw my athai . I looked at her , I was shocked to find her here.

"Athai" I whispered. She pulled me in her embrace , "athaiii" I sobbed into her arms. She caressed my hair.

"What happened vidhu ma ?" She spoke out , I recollected all the harsh words of my brother then sobbed out loud.

She consoled me , whispering sweet words to calm me down.

"Vidhu , why did you go to that house da?" She asked me , I looked at her puzzled.

"Athai that is my house , where else will I go?" I asked her.

I remembered the words of my brothers, tears swelled in my eyes. I shook my head and planned to return back to Chennai.

"Vidhu ma , let's go to our home" she said to me , I looked at her wide eyed.

"But athai , I will return back . Since I saw you at least I am happy to know that somebody at least cares about me" I said with a sad smile .

"What nonsense vidhu ma. You are important to me and Pallavi has been so excited to meet you" she replied.

I remembered my childhood days , were everything was perfect . Me , Pallavi , my brother and Arjun and Varnesh mama's .

"Athai" again I was interrupted by her voice. "No you are coming with me and end off discussion" she gave me a stern look and I sighed in defeat then nodded my head.

We both then moved to her car, " athai how do you know I would be here?" I asked her.

"Vidhu know about you my dear, I know about your brother too. That's the reason I came here as fast as I could" she replied. I looked at her , after my family she took care of me in all aspects.

After a few mins of drive we both reacher her house. Her and mine was an half an hour drive but the same town.

"Come on da" she dragged me to her house. "Pallavi look who has come" she shouted.

Later I heard anklet sounds, I smiled at her. "Vidhyaa" she shouted. She ran towards me and hugged me with so much force.

I chuckled at her behaviour, "how are you pallavi?" I asked heras I patted her head.

"I am good Vidhu. Nee epdii irukaa?" She questioned me. (How are you?)

"Enaku enna na nalla iruka da!" I replied. (I am good dear)

"Ok both ok you. Pallavi take Vidhu to her room and both of you get ready by evening. Since we have pooja" aunt replied.

"What pooja atha ?" I asked her , being curious to know about the pooja.

"Today is an auspicious day so there is a pooja in the temple. So I want you both to be ready by evening. Vidhu ma take rest da." She said.

"Ok ma" I replied, she patted my head and smiled .  "Come akka , let me show your room" Pallavi took me towards the room I will be staying.

"This is Arjun Anna's room. The next is mine opposite is Arjun Anna's office room. The next room beside mine will be yours and the opposite is Varnesh Anna's room" Varnesh?

I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't notice that we have reached my room. "Akka" Pallavi shook my shoulder. "Uhh" I looked at her.

"Evening dress is in the cupboard and if you need anything I am a door away . So take rest, will see you in the evening. Bye . " she said and left the room.

I nodded my head then closed the door and placed my bag on the bed then arranged my dress in the cupboard . After washing my face then changing into a tee and sweatpants, I slept on the bed due to tiredness.

"Vidhu akka" I felt someone trying to wake me up. I opened my eyes to find Pallavi, I got up and rubbed my eyes then looked at her.

"What happened?" I asked her. "Akkaa go take bath , it's already 4 in the evening . You skipped lunch , mom said you will be tired so I didn't wake you up." I nodded my head.

"Everyone came to have lunch except you" she whined. "It's ok I will get ready , wait here!" I said to her and got the dress which aunt has chosen for me.

After taking a head bath and tied my hair in a towel then left the bathroom. I tried so hard to tie the knot of my blouse.

"Pallavi , can you tie the knot of my blouse!" I asked her. As i felt her presence in the room.

I closed my eyes and dried my hairs with the towel. " Pallavi enna di pandraa time aachu la . Seekramaa tie pannu dii ." I said again urging to tie it fast.

I felt a presence of her, I continued to dry my hairs. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder, I felt my hairs on my left side brought to my right.

"Pal-." I opened my eyes to urge her to finish tying it fast but whom I found really shocked me. I was about to shout , he pinned me to the cupboard , I placed my hands beside the table and he closed my mouth with his hand.

"Shh" he placed his pointer finger on his lips indicating me not to shout. He removed his hands from my mouth .

"Inga enna pandra?" I questioned him.

"Yennoda veetlaa na illamaa veraa yaar irupaa?" He questioned me with his eyebrows raised. (In my house who will be there instead of me?"

I furrowed my eyebrows, he came closer towards me . Near my ears where his lips grazed my ears then  "Varnesh Shivakumar son of the great Athai of yours." He whispered .
