Not How I Wanted

𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 1 : 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵

"I was raised on little light"

Vienna stared in shock at both their parents. Neither one had ever truly gotten angry around her, not even after everything she had done as a teenager. But now their dad was staring with pure rage at the young man in the front yard who was yelling slurs at the house while Vienna's mother wrapped her arms around them tightly.

Vienna knew the young man on the lawn, she knew him and she definitely didn't want to see him.

The incident would have been fine and brushed off if this wasn't the fifth time this man had shown up unannounced and unwanted.  What was new was the fact he had a weapon on his person and had threatened to harm Vienna if they didn't take him back. Obviously,  Vienna and their parents were not okay with that what so ever and called upon the only person that could help.

Vienna's older brother. Who Vienna has not seen since they were a kid.

Sure, they texted him or called on the phone occasionally but it had been years since they actually saw him in person. He'd been home on holidays a couple of times but Vienna can't remember them very clearly or she hadn't been home.  Instead, they did her best by watching his content and streams, under an alias of course seeing as since she was 17 they had been streaming on their own twitch and writing their own music and hadn't wanted to be too attached to her brother and 'take' his fan base.

And now she was calling him with shakey hands as they paced their room anxiously, biting their nails.

"Hello?"

"Lake! Please tell me you aren't busy and you're at least home."

"Well yeah, but I'm in the middle of starting a stream, what's up?"

"Fuck, uhm, kind of an emergency? If you need to get to your stream don't worry about it I'll stay with Charlie until you can call me, I don't think Cody will find me there for a while and I can help Charlie finish packing since she's moving soon anyways and I'm sure if I can't stay with you she'll let me stay for a while until I can get on my f-"

Vienna rambles for a minute, still pacing but had switched from biting their nails to rubbing the back of their neck.

"Vi, breathe," Lake attempts to soothe her through the phone and waits for an audible sign they've calmed down enough to speak again and speak slower.

"I'm sorry"

"It's alright, starshine. Now, start over, what's going on?"

At this point Lake had shut off any stream set up and planned on sending out a tweet explaining that something came up and he'd have to delay the stream.

"Okay. Uhm remember that Cody guy I told you about?"

Lake nods despite the fact his sister couldn't see him at the moment. He had known about Cody being a 'rebound' of sorts after Vienna attempted to ask out her best friend and was softly rejected. He also knew the relationship between Vienna and Cody ended horribly and Cody was terrifying in some aspects. Not to mention this obvious stalking but since they had broken up two years ago, he had gotten increasingly threatening and obsessive.

"Well he showed up at the house again but...he has an actual weapon on him this time Lake. I'm afraid he's going to kill me. Mom and dad called the police and he dipped but I can't help but feel like he won't stop. At least not until I'm dead. "
