"Im all choked up on my throat, I guess there is no hope"
Vienna groaned at the morning light shining through their window and the sound of rainfall as well as her brother's loud laughter on the other side of the wall. While most would find the rain and muffled voice would be soothing but not after hours of peaceful sleep were interrupted, mostly because of the thunder.
Pulling the blankets off their warm body, the blonde sighed and sat up enough to grab their phone from the windowsill, swearing as they saw a missed call from both of their parents.
A groggy "hello" changed the noise in the room as Vienna began the process of waking up while calling their dad back.
"Good morning, Viea. You make it to your brother's place okay?"
"Yeah. I don't know what time I'm coming to the house today, before you ask me"
There's a laugh on the other end as her dad reassures them that both him and their mom had already packed up their room and labeled the boxes, as well as a few other things that weren't technically hers but neither him or her mom used.
Getting off the phone, Vienna sighed and spent at least 3 more minutes gazing around their room, mentally noting where they wanted things and where they could hide others.
Because in all honesty they had no idea how their brother would feel about finding out they are a stoner or that they vape. It was partly why they hadn't unpacked their bag last night. They just started living there and it would really suck to be kicked out.
Deciding they'd like to be awake for the 3 hour drive to get their stuff, Vienna finally changed into the extra clothes they brought with them and stepped out of their room. They half-assed a morning routine, not yet knowing how Lake's apartment utilities worked and just generally being sluggish.
Finally entering the living room, Vienna waved to her brother and sat on the couch, watching whatever he had put on tv. It looked to be some kind of horror movie.
"Morning, Vi"
Vienna simply nodded, looking at the time on their phone and sighing, the text from their dad prominent on the screen along with a twitter notification from the night before.
"You leaving soon?"
"Yeah, I don't know how many trips it's gonna take with my dinky ass car though.."
"I have a van you can use."
"Wait, really?!"
Vienna had been dreading the multiple trips they'd have to take but if they had access to a van it wasn't going to be as bad. Their main concern was their beanbag anyways.
"Yeah! I just have to go with you since it's technically the van we've been using for shows..."
Right. Which meant it was probably somewhere it'd have to be picked up and cleaned out. Don't get her wrong, she's okay with cleaning it out, she just wasn't excited at the possibility of meeting Lake's friends and band mates just yet.
Although weighing their options, they'd much rather meet the band before any other friends. Well maybe other than Niki but that's besides the point.
