The Things I Carry

I carry my mind, my thinking place

The holder to thoughts and sorrow

And love and peace. My sad thoughts

And my anxiety.

I carry my bag, my helper

It holds my phones and pens,

Pencils and snacks

But also my side for when i fall

I carry my losses and surprises

I carry the soul of my family

That walk with the stars

And the stars that are reborn

Into my family

I carry my clothes, my protector

They protect my body from the cold

And from stares from demons who

Don't know me, they also comfort me

Through sadness and

Depression

I carry my soul, my life

One of many things that

Keep me here and focused

On surviving.

Living

I carry my friends, my saviors

I help them with the shadows

That whisper demented things

In their ear while they help

Me with mine

I carry my knowledge, my grasp

It helps me grasp control of

Dangerous situations and

Control of my demons

I carry my sight, my eyes

Thought they may not be

Great, they still allow me

To see what fight i still

Have left

I carry my feelings, my representatives

They help me show emotion

In the work i do and

The life changing projects

That show vulnerability

I carry my touch, the mender

My touch is a meander that

Brings people together

Or things apart. My hands

Are the maker and the clay

Is my world.
