Aditya's POV,

I was clutching my sword in anger."Shabba Kher"she said. How can she end the conversation like this? She called me shallow minded and compared me to a mere guard.I took in a sharp breath and stomped towards my room.I decided that today will be the best time to send a letter to Rajmata as it is already night and it will take some time too.

Dear Matashri,

Hope you are doing well.I am writing this letter to inform you and Pitashri that the peace treaty was a success and the did not put any additional conditions. Before you go forward reading this letter please be prepared for an unexpected turn of events.

The letter had been modified by someone before it was presented to the Sultan and according to the modification I have to wed Princess Noor in exchange of the peace to which surprisingly the Sultan agreed.Since it was heeded as my Pitashri's words and I had no evidence to go against the words I will be bringing home your daughter-in-law.The investigation of the incident is still going on in secret.without any results till now.A few days later is my haldi so please bless me to be able to fortitude whatever is going on in here.

Your Faithful Son,

Aditya

"Surya try sending the letter through the eagle and send this letter secretly."I commanded Surya.

Today was my 'Haldi' .A haldi without my Family..Wow what a marriage I am going through.Marrying someone whom I hate and that too in her palace. What a fucking life I have.I suddenly remember Purohit Ji's words. He had said my life is going to take a sharp turn at the age of twenty eight and her I am exactly twenty eight years of age a what a beautiful turn my life has taken.Stupid..

"Yuvraj you are being called to the hall to start your haldi ceremony"A servent intervened my thoughts.I changed in to the yellow and golden kurta(upper) with a royal blue lower and and angavastram and a golden royal turban. and went to the hall .Her whole family was there to celebrate the ceremony and they were rather happy except Shehzade Haider. Everyone applied me haldi .When it was Shehzade's turn he dangerously whispered in my ear.

"Aap hamare behen ko nahin hamare Jaan-e-Sitara ko leke ja rahen hain.Yaad rakhen agar mere sitare ko ek kharoch bhi aya na to apko aur apke hindusthan ko tabah hone se rabba-e-karim bhi nahin rok sakta.Nikaah mubarak ho !"(You are not taking my sister but my favourite star away from me.Remember even if one scratch also comes to my star then I will destroy both you and your Hindusthan along with it.Even the merciful God cannot stop me from doing so.Happy Marriage!")

I did not know how to react to his words.I just furrowed my eyebrows and looked at him with questioning eyes .Were not they the ones who arranged this marriage then why did it seem that Shehzade did not know about this.Something is not right about whats going on .I need to investigate this to the roots of it. I was escorted back to my room and into the hammam .After a scented bath I relaxed and pinched the bridge of my nose.My head was reeling and i did not understand what drama they were staging. As I decided to take a little nap Surya piped up"Yuvraj you should start getting ready ,the maids are here to help you we should not miss the auspicious time for the marriage" .I chuckled."Auspicious time is not necessary when the marriage itself is not serious.Anyways call them in".

They fitted me into a deep maroon Sherwani with golden lower, angavastram and turban. My sword sheath was changed into a more golden-ish one fitted with rubies. The Sultan had gifted it to me.I was called to the mandap .

Finally ,I was getting married. My life is changing. But I will make sure I have no relation with her.She can be my wife but I am no husband for her.

With these thoughts I walked towards the mandap and sat on the left side of the havan, waiting for my to-be-wife.Red is such a holy colour but sometimes it does not suit the environment and preparations.Ans such an time is now where I have to fill the holy red sindoor on someone who does not deserve it.
