Noor's POV,
I didn't see him off. I was sure if I did I would cry. It had been three days since the war, no, rebellion started which took the shape of the war. We surely had the upper hands because the amount of infantry and cavalry we had was certainly greater than them. Also, they had not expected us to attack in a mass structure so our soldiers were surely more disciplined, trained and we had the advantage of elephants from our allies in Raunakgarh. (* Guys this is important as you will be facing this name in the future sequels of this book too...*)
Having nothing to do, I smiled and pondered over the fact as to what we'll do once the war ends. The sun was in the middle screaming Noon. I went outside the tent as an uneasiness overlapped my happiness. I felt as if something wasn't right. I pushed aside the feeling and went to the kitchen. Maids were busy preparing food and I looked into the fire burning under the large pots. As if realising something I ran to the open areas and noticed around hundreds of soldiers running towards the tents on horses. They were surely not ours as they had a different emblem on there flags. All of them were holding mashals in there hands and I screamed on the top of my voice.
"EVACUATE!!!!!! THEY HAVE ARRIVED...."
I ran into the kitchen and screamed to the maids to leave all there duties. I ran with them near to the river banks. All of them looked visibly scared and a child of around twelve suddenly held my pallu.
"Princess...*sob sob* Please save us...please... I don't want... to die.."
I looked at her then the others. All of them were looking at me with hope. There were various maids, some children, some young ladies, some mothers and some old ladies yet nobody deserved death. I just nodded at them, not knowing what to say or promise them. I couldn't look at them in the eye because the fear was engulfing me too.
I walked back to the tents to see them completely ablaze. The fire consumed the thin tent cloth. All the soldiers were throwing buckets of water on them trying to control the fire. Only if they knew that it is impossible to erase the existence of fire from those tents now. I sighed , Then suddenly I felt a touch on my waist. I being exhilarated to the sudden feeling turned around and gave a smack on the head. He clearly had not expected this thus was disoriented from his place.
Suddenly he started laughing and looked at me. It scared the shit out of me. I did not have a dagger with me and I was poor in hand to hand combat.
"I LIKE IT...I LIKE REBELLIOUS WOMEN...I wondered where all the maids went.. well atleast we got one.."
Even though my heart was beating in a fast rate I thought of showing a facade of bravery in hopes of demotivating me.
"You dog..atleast touch me if you have the guts to..."
He came forward on my challenge and attempted to touch me. I moved to the side and kicked behind of his knees making him fall down, unsheathing his own sword I loosened my wrist attempting to make my hands comfortable with it. I held his neck and slashed his throat. He fell to the ground with a thud.
"COME ON YOU COWARDS.. HOW DARE YOU TOUCH THE FUTURE QUEEN OF JODHPUR... I KILLED ONE BUT ADITYA WILL TORTURE YOU SUCH THAT DEATH WILL BE BETTER THAN IT..."
The air carried my voice through and I got steady with my throat burning with the sudden outburst of energy. I got confused as they laughed, louder than before. Not one or two but around fifteen of them were surrounding me. One of them moved a pace forward and said,
