Aditya's POV,
"REPORT, The forest frontier has been taken control by the Cholas, Our messages and the messaged sent by the other side have all been seized by them."
Dammit. Those son of bitches...
The war had still not started as we were still hoping for peace. But it was as if the opponent was wanting a war. I have sent countless messages to Subedaar Balrao to surrender, but looks like they never reached.
I banged my fist in the table to release the tension when Surya entered the tent.
"Yuvraj, someone seems to be entering the borders.."
I stood up and exited the tent. The guards were on vigil with their spears , the spearheads towards the outside angled against their body. The archers had their arrows on when I noticed the silver blinkers on the horse..
Raising my hand up in the air I closed it in a tight fist, clearly indicating 'at ease'.
Surya as if reading my mind said
"Isn't that the princess's horse..."
As the horse came closer I saw her. All sweating with blood oozing out her shoulder. She had a pained expression in her face and she kept blinking her eyes continuously. I ran forward to her in panic and she climbed down her horse taking two steps forward she collapsed onto the ground on her knees.
"Noor!"
I ran forward before her delicate body hit the ground. I picked her up in bridal side and entered the tent commanding,
"Call the fuckin' doctor Surya...."
Laying her down on the bed the doctor immediately arrived. He sat beside her and kept his two fingers on the veins on her wrist. His brows scrunches and her looked the wound. The blood had turned black and then it struck me. She was poisoned.
"Yuvraj! She is poisoned with ricinoleic acid, a natural poison found in castor beans, normally smeared on arrows an..."
"Shut up and tell me the remedy.."
"The blood needs to be sucked out from the wound and it needs to be disinfectant with heat, till its done I will be making the antidote..."
"But..But..The disinfecting will hurt and she will not be able to take it..."
"Yuvraj ,you and I both know.. that is the only way to disinfect...please do this for her and yourself..."
He left saying this. I was in dilemma whether or not I should do it. Deciding the best I sat near her.
"OUT!"
I commanded . The guards inside the tent and Surya all exited the tent. I pushed my hands under her neck and pulled her up. Opening the turban on her head and the uttariya, I laid her on the bed once again. She had wrapped around a white cloth tightly around her bosoms to hide her womanly appearance but had failed miserably. She still looked beautiful a delicate just like the Noor I knew.
I brought a diya kept it on the table, unsheathing the dagger I looked at it. Suddenly loathing it for the action it was going to commit. I looked at the deep cut on her shoulder blade and touched her sticky blood a little and she hissed in pain. I withdrew my hands almost immediately and gave my attention to the flickering fire. Taking my dagger on top of the flame I slowly moved it up and down heating the whole blade. I took the dagger slowly to her wound and closed my eyes and gritted my teeth.
