Noor's POV,
Sitting on the bed with tears brimming my eyes. The tears of happiness. The sky had embraced a shade of orange with the painter painting strokes of periwinkle on the sky. The birds chirped, in joy. At 'their' arrival. The tears of happiness poured as I looked at him. He held my hand throughout the painful delivery. The moment I felt I could do no more, he was by my side, holding my hand, shouting at me with words of motivation pouring off. I had seen him almost cry as the painful screams echoed through the room.
I had given birth to twins. A boy and a girl. The little boy looked like that of his father, his little pink tongue visible as he cried. Aditya, who was scared at first to hold the child, was holding our daughter. Standing in the corner of the room with her in his hands. I knew he was crying, out of joy. Hence in the corner. Another person that helped me in the brink of the time was Princess Saundarya, the real one. The war had finished and she had been brought as the prisoner of war by Devarsa, but due to complications I had allowed her to stay with us, in the palace. I even gave birth in her room. The feeling of the child drinking milk elated me. I couldn't help but giggle, as he sucked on to me, clinging to his only source of food.
"I think she is hungry,love..."
I looked up at his voice as Aditya tried rocking our brown eyed daughter to calm. He was trying his best yet she cried more.
"Oh! My dear....Don't cry..."
He said, trying to sooth her and calm her down. It would be a shock for people who know him as Rana Adityadev Rajput if they see this side of Aditya. But I knew better who and how he was.
I looked at him, sucking the milk as I said,
"Looks like you have to share, my boy.."
He was already in deep sleep but the sucking continued. I plucked him off me carefully and put the other onto me as I heard him said,
'I became a father, little bird.."
I giggled and answered,
"I am not a little bird anymore Aditya....I am all grown up and see, even a mother now.."
He came closer as he joined our foreheads together, after kissing on it.
"For me, you'll always be my 'little bird'. How much ever you grow old...Mine, My little bird. Mine to love and mine to taste..My love...I love you...So much that words can't express what I feel...You are the heartbeat that beats in me....Noor....My light...Thank you for being there...always...by my side..."
"Not to mention...I love you too Aditya...."
I couldn't help the tears that rolled down my cheeks. He wiped them off as he pressed his lips onto my wet cheeks.
Life is a long run but the people who stay by your side even during the worst of times are the one who love you. Embrace the good and bad of the person whom you truly love. Love them enough that they get lost in the ocean, tides washing over them. Love, a word, and emotion, that's always been misinterpreted in this materialistic world. Know it. Love is sacred. It is one of the purest and simplest of emotions.
I have him by my side always to make me lost, in a boat , in the endless sea, without an oar, just him and me. Oh! The two bundles of joy too!!
