Chap 9~ An Attack in the Woods

Aditya's POV,

I was feeling kind of sleepy after I threw her out.But,where would she sleep.Wait why am I thinking about her.

Sssss..Ahhhh.My head.Fukkk

"Surya,keep the gaurds on vigilance.We might face a dacoit attack.I am extremely tired.I am going to sleep"
I went to sleep after giving the instructions.Something was off.My body was going against me. I am not a heavy sleeper but  I slept very heavily I did not detect any sound at night or any voice.The food.Shit.I tried getting up but my eyelids would not open.At last I have in to it I am sure it is all her doing.At the end how much of a friend you make out of your enemy they will still remain an for instead of a well wisher for you.

I woke up with a heavy head and an urge to vomit but was feeling better than last night.Thank the Gods nothing happened at night.I somehow gulped the lump forming in my throat and stepped out only to be met with a gruesome sight.

Bodies were scattered here and there.Gaping wound looking at me wide-eyed.Splatters of blood all over the place.The green grass had turned deep red.Some soldiers were still alive as they were given a slow death There stomach was slit open with their guts sliding out.
Some skulls were broken open with there brains sliding out half in the skull.Blood was still wet and some were still oozing out.Those who were alive were also not in a good condition.Somebody's hand was off his body or someone's leg was severed.Sombody had a broken neck and some had a broken backbone .

"Rajkumar kal ratri dacaiti hamla hua  tha.Sari sainikon ki haalat bohot kharaab hai.Parantu mujhe do baatein samajh mein nahin aa rahi hai Aapki anumati hi to.."
("Prince , yesterday night we were attacked by the forest dacoits.Many of our soldiers have died and the living ones are in a very bad condition.But I do not understand two things.If you allow me..").

"Anumati hai Surya,Anumati hai"
(" You have the allowance Surya,Speak").

"Yuvraj,First of all why was I not able to hear any of the commotion out here and neither were you My lord the second thing is that the dacoits that are dead all carry the coins of Afghan,but we just had a treaty with them then why would they,Also the coins are fake,all are made of copper and the sign on my he coun is hand crafted by somebody else.Either they are trying to frame Afghan for it of Afghan is doing it purposefully to stay out of suspicion ".

"Since it is still not clear  ,keep investigating and also is there any message from our spies in Afghan.Also tell them we will be resuming our journeys after they have received first aid."

I was sure from yesterday night.Something was off. Thus deeply distressed me as we would almost be like a soldier in a battle without a weapon in hand for the rest of our journey .It will take a month more to reach Jodhpur.

"Yuvraj, Rajkumari is having a fever .I think you should go meet her.

There you go.One problem had already held my shoulder now she is sitting on my head with another.Well meeting her would not be an issue anyways.Except that I am happy she is sick instead of providing with sympathy.Lets see what can be done to take revenge of what Afghan has done to my soldiers.
