Aditya's POV,

I was sitting in the court, discussing the upcoming engagement of Surya and the 'Pralayankar' oncoming war.

"Rana sa..I think the eagle division should go first followed by us.."

Said Surya. My nose scrunched up in displease. I have strictly told my family to never call me Rana sa.

"It's Bhaisa for you Surya...Also I agree with his decision.."

A red tinge caught his face as he nodded and sat down looking at Raj. Raj shrugged as they both stifled their laughs. I internally rolled my eyes and looked at the ministers having an heated argument.

"Rana sa...RANA SA.....RAJMATA...SHE IS....."

My attention was grabbed by a soldier from the inner court who looked pale with fear and worry. I grabbed my sword and ran through the mazed corridor , reaching the Sukh Bhavan where my parents were staying. I entered the room and my limbs stopped moving altogether. My knees felt weak and my eyes teared up looking at her condition. Her body was shivering and she was bleeding from her nose. Blood instead of tears were flowing from her eyes and it seemed she couldn't breath as she was soothing her chest. She coughed a little looking at me.

"CALL THE DOCTOR BUFFOONS.....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?"

I ran and sat near her, on my knees and cradled her head in my arms. My father was sitting on the bed holding her hand, silently , tears were flowing from his eyes and he looked lost and expressionless.

"Don't worry Maasa ..The doctor will arrive soon....Just hol..hold on for a bit more..okay..."

My voice cracked at the end, not being able to digest the fact. The scene was so horrible, now I could feel what Noor must have gone through seeing Zaheer. She took deep breaths as Raj made her drink some water. She shook her head and asked me to scoot closer.

A tear fell from my eyes as I went closer. She had a serene look on her face, a faint yet painful smile on her face.

"D.D.DON"T..Lament my...de..death much....you have a ...ki..kingdom to take care of....Take care of your...father and brother......Lov...love your wife....Win the war....VIJAYI BHAVA PUTRA..."

"Don't say that Maa sa please...please don't.."

The doctor ran inside and checked her pulse. My hand was shaking, I prayed internally for her to be alright. The doctor stood up and looked at me with regret.

"The poison has reached her heart..we cannot do anything now..She has around six minutes more..."

I grabbed his collar and shook him.

"HOW DARE YOU? YOU HAVE TO MAKE HER RIGHT...PLEASE..Please..."

I looked at my Mother, all the memories running back to me. Me sitting on her lap. Her pushing the swing and her feeding me kheer. Her treating my wounds and her scolding me for hitting Raj. Tears flowed down but I was oblivious of what was coming next.

"RANA SA..RANI SA...SHE IS ATTACKED...THE SOLDIERS ARE ATTACKING HER..PLEASE HELP HER, I BEG YOU.."

I looked at her and then at my mother, who was already trying to send me away. She showed me two of her fingers and then shook her hand in a 'NO'. I knew what she was wanting to say.
