"I can't believe you're dragging me to this shite." I groaned as i fixed my bow tie.

Stephen and his girlfriend , david and his boyfriend and i were all getting ready in my bedroom for prom.

Originally, i wasn't going to go. I had better shit to do like; Play on my gameboy and scream and cry into my pillow but Stephen and david begged me to go and for some reason i agreed.

"Oh shut up Declan, it'll be fun!" Stephen smiled and budged me a bit. "No it won't! I'm going to be fifth wheeling you guys the whole time!" I half shouted. "Maybe Anthony McPartlin will come up to you and ask for a dance" David winked at me and danced around with his boyfriend Simon.

I laughed and shook my head, my face now bright red. "No he won't now hurry up or we will be late" I rolled my eyes and left my bedroom, the rest following close behind. After we said our goodbyes to my parents, we headed to school. Our school was only a 10 minute walk so we all decided that it would be easier if we walked there instead of taking the bus.

As we got close to the school, we could hear the music from inside getting louder and louder and a pit started to form in my stomach. I stoped in my tracks and turnt around. We were only a few feet away from the main doors now.

"I'm going home" I stated then went to walk off but everyone was quick to stop me. "Cmon you" Holly, Stephen's girlfriend said and grabbed onto my arm. Stephen let out a loud "Oi!" when Holly started to walk towards the doors with me which made David and Simon laugh.

"What can i say Stevie, the lady's love me" I joked and pushed open the big doors. As we entered, there were people everywhere. There were already couples making out against the lockers and the teachers telling them off for it and rubbish scattered everywhere. We carried on walking towards the hall where the party was and all held hands with our partners, well all apart from me!

"I still don't know why i said yes to coming to this" I groaned and sat down at one of the many tables in the big hall. The music was so loud i could barely hear myself think and there were so many people already dancing about. "Maybe you can finally give in and let Eric have a dance with ya" Simon said and i just shook my head.

Eric was a cute boy in our year. It is very obvious that he likes me and the whole school knew that. "I don't like him like that" I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, cus you're too busy swooning over Ant" Stephen said and i shot him a threatening glare. "Look, he's over there" Holly pointed behind me. I turned around and saw Eric sitting by himself. I frowned to myself and looked back at my friends.

"Fuck it! I've got nothing better to do"

I stood up and straightened out my suit before downing the drink david had gave to me. I stuck out my tongue and groaned after the liquid burned down my throat. "What the fuck is that!" I laughed and put the cup down. "I snuck some vodka in so i put some in your drink to lighten you up" David smiled innocently at me. "Jeez okay. Wish me luck guys!"

And i was off I slowly made my way over to the other side of the hall to Eric and i could feel the sweat on my hands. I didn't know why i was nervous but i pushed through the crowed and stoped in front of the ginger boy. "Oh hi-hiya Dec" He giggled cutely. "Wanna dance?" I held out my hand and he smiled. I helped him up from the chair and walked over to where everyone else was dancing. "just to let ya kna, i'm not a dancing kinda guy so sorry if i'm terrible at this" I laughed trying to get ride of some of my nerves.

"I didn't think you were gonna come." He smiled at me again as we started to dance close together. "Me neither!" I laughed honestly. "You look nice tonight" Eric said and i could feel the blush rushing to my face. "Thank you, you too" I politely replied back.
