She was finally given the opportunity to relax.

The pale woman stood before a round outdoor table with a joyous smile.

Birds cooed in the trees, crickets chirped amongst the grass, and the gentle breeze soothed the sun's harsh rays. Washington was much warmer than Canada.

Tall pine and maple trees surrounded Selene's large backyard. Freshly cut green grass spanned a few yards before turning into a forest floor, with hundreds of ferns flourishing in the shade. Wild strawberry bushes were at the edge of the lawn and leaning toward the sunlight.

The backyard was attached to a large rustic mansion with numerous floors. It blended into the temperate rainforest quite beautifully.

She attempted to adjust to the higher humidity and temperature by wearing a white wrap dress with generous cleavage. Her long white hair was in a dutch braid and lace-tied against the sides of her head.

Despite her husband's distaste for warmer temperatures, he seemed fond of her dress.

Ever since their encounter with Argus, he's been awfully irritated. She tried to ask him what was bothering him- but he said it was a problem for another time.

Selene stirred a large glass pitcher. Square ice cubes clinked together against the glass walls, floating on top of the amber liquid.

She set up a large pitcher of iced tea for her husband to counteract the heat.

Like a mom watching her kids play in the backyard, Ullr showed Riot how to shoot a simple bow and arrow. They practiced with the bark of a tree.

Riot was the woman who helped her and her husband get out of jail.

Not only was this woman the Aðal of Táhæ, but she was also Selene's middle-aged niece. Despite her lack of knowledge of her blood relative, they've met a few times before.
[Alpha]

A young man made himself known with the subtle steps of his fancy dress shoes.

Shifting to look, she smiled welcomingly at the middle-aged man. He was somewhat pale, though not as pale as Selene, and had amber hair combed back.

His emerald eyes were striking- matching the beautiful rainforest around him.

He was only wearing a white button-up tucked under his black dress pants, a Ferragamo belt keeping everything in place. The pale woman could see black tattoos littered with vibrant colours peaking from below the collar of his shirt against his neck.

"Lá ö kú́ ngeú," he chuckled. The man's American accent rumbled like a diesel truck.
[I feel honored to meet you.]

Selene giggled- taking the spoon from the bottle and setting it on an empty plate.
