Chapter 14
(1 month later present day)
(Rachels moms death)
Rachels pov :
I opened the door and took my mom upstairs. "Rachel." She mumbled. My mom, Shelby was diagnosed with ALS 3 years ago . She was fine at first but the more she went on she had a harder time doing things and eventually she was paralyzed from head to toe and her speech became slurred over time . She started to have spazems and seizures that caused her lack of oxygen. "Yes mommy ?" I asked. "No matter what happens tonight I don't want you to come in here ?" She said slurring her words . My mom had just gotten out of the hospital after having a big seizure . I sighed,"Promise me ." She said . "I promise . " I said and then tucked her into bed and held her hand , "I love you mom goodnight . " I said and then kissed her head and left the room . I walked into my room turned the light off and tried to sleep . She started to cough harder and harder and eventually I couldn't ignore her anymore and I ran into her room. "Mommy !" I yelled and I climbed into her bed hugging her and she kept coughing I started to sing moon river to her :

She took her final breath and then there was dead silence. "Mom ? " I said but there was no answer . "Mommy?" I cried . "No , no come back . " I cried . "Come back to me . " I cried again as I held her in my arms. "I need you mommy . Please come back . " I begged . But I knew in my heart she was gone for good and my heart , my heart felt numb .

(Present day )
"Rachel! " Ms.Pilsbury yelled trying to get my attention. "Yes . " I said. "Did you hear me ?" She asked. "No sorry what did you say ? " I asked. "I asked if you were going to sing in glee club." She said. "Oh um no I'm not . " I said. "Okay . " She said. "Can I leave ?" I asked her. "Sure . " She said. I grabbed my bag and quickly left going to the girls bathroom . I dropped my bag went into the stall and shoved my fingers down my throat making myself sick . When I was done I washed up and drove home . Once I got home I opened a bottle of vodka and started to chug it and the took out some advil from the cabinet and took about five tablets of advil .
