Chapter 4

                         March 1944

Howard watched as Sarah worked flinching slightly when the other men moved fast past her desk. He had been watching her awhile, and something was off about her. He shook his head slightly and went back to work.

                     May 1944

Bucky glanced over at Logan as the man walked in, drying his hair. He was shirtless, and Bucky swallowed slightly. Logan tilted his head slightly, smelling the arousal coming from the other man. He didn't realize Bucky was that way. Especially since he was married.

"Heard from Sarah?" Logan asked as he pulled a shirt on.

Bucky nodded while swallowing. "Yeah. She's working as a secretary for Stark."

"Heard he isn't too...gentlemanly."

Bucky shrugged slightly. "He can flirt with her all he wants, but Sarah is loyal."

Logan looked at Bucky after glancing to make sure they were alone. "Are you?"

Bucky's eyes widened, realizing what Logan meant. "Wait how the fuck?!"

Logan chuckled and after making sure the coast was clear showed Bucky his bone claws.

"Enhanced." Bucky whispered.

Logan nodded. "I got a good sense of smell."

Bucky groaned lightly. "I love my wife, I swear. I've never cheated on her or anything."

Logan nodded, sitting down. "So you like both as well."

Bucky sighed. "Yeah."

                     July 1944

Sarah walked to her desk and stopped seeing a wrapped box and flowers sitting on her desk.

Howard walked up. "I pulled some strings and got Bucky's gift to you."

Sarah smiled slightly. "Thank you, Howard."

"You're welcome." He went to touch her shoulder, but she flinched. Howard put his hand down tilting his head. Before he could ask a delivery person came in with a box.

"Delivery for Ms. Rogers."

Sarah took a breath, already knowing it was from Steve. She took the box opening it and saw some of the items Peggy would normally send.

Howard tilted his head more as the person left. "Who hurt you, Sarah?"

Sarah shook her head. "No one." She muttered, putting everything to the side and starting to work. Howard walked away, muttering to himself.

"I'll figure it out."

Sarah looked back in the box Peggy sent and saw a letter written by Steve.

Looks like he's forgetting about you. Soon, he'll be all mine again. Useless Bitch.

Inside was a sketch of Bucky laughing with a man.

Sarah closed her eyes, already knowing what Steve was trying to do.
