Cold Lake
Alberta, Canada
December 16, 1945Sarah woke up to the smell of coffee. She got out of bed, grabbing an oversized flannel shirt. As she went towards the kitchen area, she stopped seeing Logan in front of the fireplace, putting wood into the fire. Sarah's eyes trailed over the muscles in his back. She had to admit she missed Bucky from time to time, but something about Logan helped her.
"I can feel you staring."
"Sorry couldn't help it."Sarah replied with a smile. "How are you not cold?"
Logan looked over his shoulder, raising a brow at her in just his shirt. "I run warm."
Sarah shook her head and went to make a cup of coffee. "You're up early."
"Snowstorm is heading this way, so I went to get supplies." Logan replied, straightening as he followed her. "Also had to make sure we had enough wood."
Sarah nodded, handing him the mug before pouring another cup and moving to sit on the counter. Logan watched as she swung her legs, his shirt moving up and down on her thigh as her legs moved.
Outside, just on the edge of where Logan's senses would have picked up, a man stood observing the couple as they were talking in the kitchen. He would wait for the snowfall and make his move. His orders were to bring Sarah to Hydra Supreme unharmed. Nothing was said about his little brother being unharmed.
"This is gonna be fun, Jimmy."
