After processing everything, it was really hard to actually be normal around the guys, especially Jason. Finding out about Zoe was one thing but now literally EVERYONE that you live with too... wow.

You started feel awkward around them.

"Hey (Y/n), it's almost time for dinner." Tim knocked on the door and shouted out from the other side so you would hear.

"I'll be there in a minute!" You called back.

You just got out the shower and were towel drying your hair. You hadn't gone to school for the last week and a half, still letting your wound heal and processing everything.

I know, I know, you're probably thinking that you'd be really excited and would want to join their bandwagon too but realistically you still had some ptsd from seeing your parents get killed and the trauma of Street life - old creepy men lurking, hardly eating and always feeling so weak still laid heavy in your bones. You were just worried now knowing that your family were on the frontline with Gotham City's worst.

Scarecrow.

Two Face.

Firefly.

Not to mention the odd alien invasion or attempted robot apocalypse.

How does a 16 year old girl process that.

You tied your hair up into a loose hair bun and oh so slowly made your way downstairs.

Dick and Tim were already seated and dishing up for themselves.

"(N/n)!" Dick exclaimed with a grin "There you are. I saved you a seat next to me!"

You smiled sheepishly and took said seat. You got yourself some food and started to slowly nimble at its contents, while avoiding all eye contact. But that only seemed to make things worse, now when you hear their voices chatter away all you could see where their masked identities.

"How's your shoulder?" Tim attempted conversation with you.

"It feels fine." You mumbled before stuffing your face.

Damien soon entered the room and got himself a nice veggie whatever, you couldn't tell, you were just transfixed on your plate.

"Oh I almost forgot to mention!" Tim spoke. "(Y/n), there's gonna be a school dance end of the month. Girls choice."

You smiled for a second, that sounded like fun.

"That sounds really cool. Is there a theme?" You asked, risking a glance at the spectacle wearer.

"Not yet, but it's probably gonna be something corny like winter wonderland."

"Thinking of asking anyone, mhmmm." Dick wiggled his eyebrows at you teasingly.

"No, I don't know if I'd even go. If I did I wouldn't know who to ask." You responded honestly before returning to your almost empty plate, thankful for the new distraction to plague your mind, giving it rest from the earth shaking family secret you had discovered.

"Maybe you should ask Red Hood." Damien smirked, pleased with his jist at you.

You turned red with utter humiliation and scurred out the room. Well that moment of normality was short lived.

Oh my, it's been literally years since I last wrote here. I think I was 17 then and now I'm a few days away from turning 22!! (Taylor Swift playing in the background). I made this one shorter than the rest just so I can have a direction to start so I can get motivated again. I'll try my best to update 2 of my books at least once a week but no promises, I do have a baby and I am a full time mother.

I have so many new ideas and I can't wait to start. I even have a Jason Todd x Reader story or two in mind.
