Bruce:
Two long weeks of silent treatment. Bruce made attempts to reach out to you while standing his own ground but you would glare towards your adoptive father before storming out the room without a word.
Why were you being punished for doing the right thing? You stood up for your friend and your 'father' punishes you...wtf?
You weren't gonna talk to him til he realised his mistake and admits that you were right.
It was another late night in the Wayne Manor when you decided to take a stroll around the garden. You ended up sitting by the gazebo by the big blue pool. You were 'alone' at home, completely unaware that you were being discussed in the hideout hidden beneath the Manor.
Who was discussing you? None other than the batgang...
"So she got into a fight at school?" Jason frowned in confusion.
"Why?" Dick asked Tim, who seemed to be the one with all the the gossip.
"Some bullies were picking on Zoe." Tim shrugged.
"So she was defending someone?" Damien seemed impressed that you fought back and actually won. "But that doesn't explain as to why she has been ignoring father..."
"They had a fight when he picked her up. A few words were exchanged and long story short: he punished her and she doesn't understand his reasoning."
"She could have been expelled from the school..." Dick realised.
"What are you girls gossiping about?" Bruce appeared from the shadows.
"You gotta talk to her, Bruce." Jason decided to ignore Bruce's comment and tried reasoning with him.
"She doesn't want to talk to me."
"Just talk to her, she'll listen." Dick added.
"It'll blow over."
"No. Resentment will just build up the longer it goes on." Jason stepped forward.
"I agree, father. It's best to resolve this immediately." Damien nodded knowingly.
"What's the worst that can happen?" Tim pointed out.
"She'll come to her senses if you explain yourself. She's a logical girl...for the most part." Dick placed a encouraging hand on Batman's shoulder.
"Like I said...What's the worse that can happen...?" Tim spoke again but he sounded a lot more hesitant than he did before.
Bruce sighed and contemplated the multiple scenarios. Defeated, he called out.
"Alfred! Is (Y/n) in her room?"
"No, sir." Before worry could course through their veins, Alfred quickly added. "She's by the pool."
Quickly making his way up the stairs and out the house, he pretty much came charging at you...
"Uhh...Bruce, are you--Batman?" You asked confused.
"What...?" He froze. Was that why you were angry and ignoring him?
"Why are you dressed as Batman...you look just like him but without that stupid mask thing. Is there a costume party you're preparing for?" You had sorta simmered down after sitting outside and you weren't mad anymore.
"Oh..." Bruce looked down at his suit...
'My mask is not stupid...' Bruce thought with his Batman voice.
"Yeah, can I sit with you?" He asked, hoping to change the topic. You nodded and shifted a bit for him to sit. "Why are you awake?"
"I had stuff I had to think about..." you paused. "I'm sorry, Bruce."
"What..."
"You were just trying to protect me and raise a lady...not some chick who gets into fights..."
"No!" He called out. "I wanna raise a fighter...but not for vengeance."
"What..." it was your turn to be confused.
"I'm one to speak but...take Jason and Damien for example. I love them, as I do all my children. But I wasn't there for them as much as I should have. They're people who get very angry very quickly and they react with as much aggression as poasible. Instead of helping them release their anger, I made them bottle it up. I don't wanna do that with you...I almost lost them both...I had actually lost Jason many years ago...I am very grateful he is back. But I don't wanna risk losing you too...I'll sign you up for MMA fighting if that would help you release some anger. I'll make a few calls and make sure those bullies never bother you or your friend again. I'll do anything...I just don't wanna lose you too...I might not get you back..."
Tears streamed down your face as you two embraced, when it happened you don't know exactly but it happened.
"You won't lose me...I promise...I will take you up on those classes though..."
From the Batcave, Dick was crying like a baby, Tim was trying to hold in his tears, Jason wasn't in the room anymore (he went to cry where no one can see him) and Damien stared at the Batcomputer in confusion and slight irritation.
'...why does my chest hurt? Why does my inside feel warm and fuzzy? And why do I want to cry...?' He thought.
