•you woke up to the beeping of a heart monitor
•you were confused at first but then you remembered what happened
•you snapped your eyes open
•after you adjusted to the light the sight before you broke your heart
•Dick was on the armchair, fast asleep but it looked like he wasn't peaceful. His eyebrows creased in his sleep.
•Bruce was sitting on a plastic chair at the side of your bed. His elbows resting on his knees and his fingers tangled in his black hair as he stared at the ground.
•Jason was leaning against the doorframe of your private hospital room. He looked deep in thought.
•Tim and Damian weren't there
•you looked around the room as you tried to sit up but pain shot up your left arm and you hissed.
•in an instant the 3 adults were by your side
• "(y/n) don't get up yet!"
• "you gotta lay down!"
• "thank goodness you're finally awake!"
•you laid back down but Dick gave you a pillow to lean against so you could look at them more comfortably
•you wanted to ask what happened but you knew. You stared at the stitches on your arm.
• "w-why?" Bruce choked out, he was also staring at your arm
• "I-I don't know. I didn't mean to do it so deep.."
• "you fucking did it anyway!"
• "Jason!"
• "no! I'll say what I want Dick! We love you (y/n)! Was it something we said or did, that caused you to do this, to push you to hurt yourself?!"
• "I'm-"
• "don't you dare say you're sorry (Y/n). Aren't you happy with us anymore? We're the ones who are sorry...we let you down. We love you so much but we pushed you away...was that it? Is that what caused you to...go..."
•it was quiet, silent tears running down all your faces
• you could tell they wanted answers
•so you told them
• "the first anniversary is always the worst..." Bruce sighed
• "I'm gonna kill those bullies!" Jason seethed
• "we're sorry we don't spend a lot of time with you...it's just work and some other things you'll learn about eventually...we still care about you so so so much, (n/n)." Dick said with a comforting smile.
•you nodded and asked where the others were
• "Tim and Damian are at school and Alfred is at the Manor"
• "but isn't it Saturday?" You asked confused as to why the younger boys of the family were at school
• "(Y/N)...it's Thursday..." Dick explained
• "What..?"
• "You've been out for a while"
• Later
• Tim and Damian came
•Never has Damian hugged you so tightly
•Never has Damian hugged you ever until now
• "Don't you ever dare try another foolish thing like that again or else I'll personally end you."
• After talking it out, things get better
•They make time for you
•Your bullies never bothered you again
•Tim and Dick helped you with your school work and you did great
•They distracted you for a week when the anniversary came along
•And the best part
•No one besides the boys, Alfred and Zoe knew what happened
•P.s. Zoe would not stop crying and hugging you when she found out
