if you combine every christmas and every birthday she's had in her childhood, they wouldn't even be close to sum up the delight she felt in this moment.

she couldn't believe that a dream of hers would come true, she couldn't believe that this was her first day of shooting for hidden in you!

the hairstylist has dyed her hair blonde (purposefully leaving the roots brown) and added extensions to her hair to make them go from being shoulder-length to almost reach her waist.

the make-up on her face was something she'd never tried for herself, dark red painted lips which look closer to a shade of brown along with dark eye-make-up and fitting eyeliner that gives her a sharp cat-eye.

she traded her usual clothes for jane's significant demin skirt, her ripped black tights, a black oversized sweater with an oversized demin jacket and black doc martens.

when looking at herself in the mirror, she doesn't see herself anymore.

no, she sees jane — it was time to put el ives on the shelf for the next couple months.

giving herself an encouraging nod in the mirror, she let out a little breath and walked out of her trailer.

the set was built on a high school today, there were dozens of trailers and crew workers occupying the entire area. they start their hidden in you journey by starting with the school scenes that theo and jane sneak into together to try and find a motive to the killings.

as she was walking closer to where the other crew members were standing, she spotted mike standing near-by with him scrolling through his phone and being completely unaware of his surroundings.

he too was in his costume already and it made her stop her steps for a second.

mike was wearing theo's iconic green sweater with a white shirt beneath, black pants that hug his legs and glasses that sit atop of face.

her heart seemed to mistake fiction with reality for a second because she could feel it beating faster for a moment after seeing him; who's gonna tell her heart that it's mike and not theo in front of her?

she carefully approached him and once she was close enough, he tilted his head from his phone and locked gazes with her. his jaw dropped for a second, he took her in from head to toe, blinking when he looked back in her eyes. "you look just like jane."

el couldn't stop the laugh that crawled out of her throat if she wanted to. "well, that's good, that's what we were aiming for."

he chuckled. "they nailed it, you look great."

her cheeks were heating up after his compliment even though she knows he wasn't meaning her per se but the fact that she embodies the character well enough. "thanks, you're not all that bad yourself."

mike started laughing and shook his head at her words. "do i have your approval then? because if you think it's good then it is."

she teasingly raised both her thumbs up. "el ives approved."

he let out an exaggerated sigh of relief. "thank god, what would i have done if the theo lover didn't like me as theo?"

el playfully shoved his chest. "i would've made your life living hell on this set, i'm not playing when it comes to the love of my life."

his eyebrows raised. "trust me, that much i've gathered."

a throat being cleared made them both snap out of their conversation, they turned to see a woman --possibly in her late 30s or early 40s-- with a phone in her hands standing in front of them. there was clear annoyance written on her face as she angled the phone up towards them. "i'm jill, the second social media manager. can you pose for a picture?"
