Andrew's POV

When I realise that the kid that I was watching isn't in the living room anymore, I quickly run outside.

I just went to the bathroom, and I thought that it will be fine if I will leave him alone for a few minutes, but I guess that I should have at least closed the door before with left him.

I run outside, and I quickly catch Tripp's scent, then I run towards him as quickly as I can.

I really hope that he won't tell his parents that I managed to lose him, because I'm sure that they won't be very happy with me about this.

A while later, I catch another scent, and this one comes from outside of the pack border.

My werewolf instincts are telling me to run in its direction, and I almost do it, but I force myself to keep running in the direction of Tripp's scent.

Tripp is one of my cousins and he's a bit sick at the moment, so I decided to watch him while his parents will work.

Because I wasn't going to school anyway, and I knew that I would be bored if I was alone in the house for hours.

When I reach him, I quickly pick him up which makes him giggle loudly and I just roll my eyes.

I want to be angry at him, but I know that he's just a kid, and I should have watched him better, so it's not just his fault.

"We're going on a walk." I say, and then I run in the direction that my mate's scent comes from.

"That's a run." Tripp says, and I just ignore him.

When I reach the pack border, I quickly realise that I shouldn't go out there with a kid, because it's not safe out there.

And I doubt that I would be able to defend the both of us, if we would come across a pack of rogues, let alone a group of hunters.

"Why are we here?" Tripp asks me, and I look at him.

"My mate's somewhere there." I say, and I point at the woods which are in front of us.

Tripp looks at them too, and it seems that he's trying to find my mate somewhere in the trees.

"I can't see him." He says, and he turns his head to look at me with a frown.

"I know, that's because he's far from here, but I think that he was close not long ago." I say.

"Let's go find him." He says with a smile.

"I will find him later, for now I will have to take you back to my house, and when your parents will take you back, then I will make sure to find him." I say and he nods in agreement, but he seems a bit disappointed.

I quickly walk back to the house, and when I reach it, I put Tripp on the ground, before I let him walk inside, making sure to lock the door after myself this time.
