Andrew's POV

I quickly realise that it's my mate, so I smile at him, hoping that he will come closer, and he does, before he starts to lick my leg, but I quickly stop him.

"You might get hurt, there still a lot of glass in there." I say, and he looks at me, looking very confused, so I guess that he doesn't know what I just said.

He starts to lick the wound again, and I quickly move my leg away with my hand, before I send him a playful glare which makes him growl at me.

I pet his head with a slight laugh, and this seems to make him even more angry, because he looks like he's about to bite me.

But I really doubt that he will be able to do that, because we're mates, and I'm sure that the bond will prevent him from hurting me.

After a while, he whines and I decide that I should stop, so I take my hand away form him, but I groan when I see that there's blood on it.

I try to get closer to him to see if he's hurt, but he gets scared, and he runs away.

I quickly realise that he wasn't scared of me, because Denver and papa come here, along with a few guards, and they look at me worriedly.

"What happened?" Papa asks me, and he quickly comes over to look at my leg, which thankfully stopped bleeding.

"We heard that there was a rogue running through the pack lands, and the guards said that you said that you will find him." Denver tells me.

"He's my mate, and he got scared of me, so I wanted to find him. He was here just a moment ago, but I think that he's a rogue." I say and Denver nods, while papa seems to be more interested in my leg.

"Can you move it?" Papa asks, and I try to move it again, but then I shake my head, which make him sigh.

"Well, I'm not a doctor, but I guess that you had to hurt your muscle or something. Let's take you to the pack house, so the doctor can see it." Papa says, and Denver agrees, so papa picks me up, and he carries me toward the pack house.

"You know." I say. "Not being able to feel the pain is pretty painful, but not physically." I say, and Denver laughs while papa shakes his head in amusement.

"The pain of something painless." Papa say, and I nod in agreement.

When we reach the pack house, we have to wait in a corridor for a while, because it seems that the doctor has something to do, otherwise he would have been here already.

When he comes here, he takes me to one of the rooms to see if he will be able to save my leg, and I decide that it's a good time to take a nap, because I really doubt that he will be done with my leg anytime soon.
