Andrew's POV

When I reach the house, I can see that two people are standing in front of the basement door, and it seems that they're trying to break inside.

So, I quickly walk towards them, and I clear my throat to let them know that I saw them.

They turn around, and I instantly realise that they're my former friends, so I send them a glare.

"What are you doing here?" I ask them angrily.

They don't have a chance to say anything, before Spencer and River come out of the house throught he front door.

"They were trying to hurt us." River says, and Spencer looks like he wants to tell him that he's crazy, but he decides against it.

"They didn't want to hurt us, they just said that you told them to tell me that I should go back, because you wanted to stay with your family." Spencer tells me, and River looks at me with a weird expression.

"You really have to teach him how to not be stupid." He tells me, and I just nod in agreement.

I guess that I really will have to do that, or else my mate will get hurt by someone the next time.

My former friends try to run away, but I quickly catch one of them.

"If you wot stop, then I will tell Denver to kick you out, although I'm almost sure that it's what he will do." I say, and this makes the other guy stop.

He's already far enough from me, so I can barely see him, but it seems that he's thinking about his options.

He must know that what I'm telling him is the truth, and he's most likely trying to decide if it will be better for him to just run away, or stay here and talk to Denver.

If he will go then he might lose the opportunity to stay in this pack, if Denver will decide that it wasn't enough to kick him out.

But if he will stay, then he will most likely spend a few weeks in the cold cellars, which are under the pack house, before he will be kicked out.

Or he will have to stay in the cellars for a few months with possibly some other punishment, if he will be allowed to stay.

He decides that it's not worth it, and he quickly runs away, although I'm sure that some of the guards will catch him, because it's clear that he's running away from something.

He might have forgotten that everyone will be able to smell that he's scared, or more like sense it.

So, if he will come across any guards, then they will definitely be interested to know what's going on.

I tell River to go inside of the house, and then Spencer and I walk back towards my grandparents' house, while I drag one of my former friends with us.

When we reach the back yard, I can see that everyone's looking at us, but I ignore them, and I walk straight towards Denver who's looking at me curiously.
