Grace knew how things had been messy. Keegan had been cheating with her own cousin. And she felt as though it was the worst betrayal.

She hadn't talked to either Keegan or Tiffany. She didn't want to be around either of them. There had been a couple of times where there had been a family get together. But Grace had refused to go.

She knew if she saw Tiffany then she would lose her crap with her. And she didn't want that. She didn't want to cause tension with her family.

Grace had been talking to Zack a lot lately. The two of them had been texting. He had cheered her up a lot. And she found herself smiling again. She hadn't told her dad as she knew he would go into overprotective mode.

And he had been ever since Grace had told him what had happened. He wanted to kill Keegan for hurting her. But he wasn't going to retaliate. He wanted to be there for Grace.

All Grace knew was that things were changing for her. And she had no idea how good the changes were going to be.

Morning came all too quickly. She groaned and rolled over in bed. She didn't want to deal with people just yet.

The door opened and Charlee walked in. "Hey. I came to see if you wanted anything to eat? Your dad is making pancakes."

Grace nodded. "I'll have pancakes please."

"Okay. Oh! Tiffany is meant to be coming over today. I don't know why."

Grace rolled her eyes. "I'll be making myself disappear then. I know I sound like a bitch. But she's ruined my happy relationship. And I can't be around her," she said.

Charlee smiled. "I've got to go into town? You can come with me?" She asked.

"You wouldn't mind?"

"Not at all. I'll be leaving in about an hour. You're more than welcome to join me," Charlee said as she left the bedroom.

Grace was in the square with charlee. Keegan walked up to her. "Can we talk?" He asked.

Grace turned to him. She shook her head. "How about get lost? You fucked my cousin. So you don't get to speak to me. You don't get to be in the same room as me. I don't care what you have to say. Leave me alone Keegan. Go back to that bitch," she spat.

Keegan looked to her. "You wonder why? Look at how you act. You're so over the top! She's fun and carefree. You're the daughter of a cop whose mum drowned. Not surprised with a daughter like you," he said.

Grace felt tears stinging her cheeks. She turned and walked off. Charlee turned to Keegan. "Aren't you just a vile little man? Talking to her like that... she loved you and you broke her. You need to keep away from her. Or I will tell Jack what you said. See how you react when he finds you," she spat.

Grace was sitting in the playground. She looked to Zack. He smiled. "Hey. You've been crying. You okay?" He asked.

Grace shook her head. "No. Keegan is a bastard. He needs to rot," she mumbled. She looked to Zack. "You made me smile. In your texts."

"Good. Don't let him get you down. You're beautiful and you deserve so much better. And one day, you're going to find someone who will love you the way you deserve, Zack told her.

Grace smiled as he walked off. Not knowing how she was about to find herself getting a whole lot closer to Zack.
