Chapter 2: Revovery

Leyla's POV
We landed back at the Roost I got off Burple "Summer take Wimger inside" she nodded and took Winger inside the sleep cave
"Cutter and Aggro get fish and water" they also nodded and flew off
Burple and Dak walked up "What about us Sis?" Dak asked "Dak you go inside with Summer and make sure Winger is alright" he ran inside the sleep cave without saying a word
"Burple we're going to find out what happened to Winger" he looked at me with determination in his eyes as I climbed on we flew to find out what had happened to Winger.
Summer's POV
I took Winger inside the sleep cave and put him down on the floor my heart was broken seeing him like this Dak ran in a few minutes later he froze again seeing Winger "How is he" he asked worry clearly heard in his voice "not good he has second degree burns and also a high fever but maybe more than that I just wish I could do more" I told him feeling defeated
"Don't say that Summer Winger would be happy that your just with him and he's a strong dragon he'll pull through" Dak told me trying to convince me but it was falling. "For now we should try and keep him warm till Layla gets back" he told me I nodded he ran off and returned with a Blue blanket he put it over him and sighed. I just kept looking at Winger till we were interrupted by a moan coming from Winger
I walked up to him he opened his eyes I saw his beautiful yellow eyes look at me but filled with pain and fear he weakly spoke
"Su..mm..er it hurts" I looked at him my heart shattered before me once a strong brave dragon now weak and vulnerable

I had one question on my mind "Winger who did this to you?" I asked him he looked at me and spoke weakly "Mag..nus" Magnus! what! He's gone to far and he's going to pay for heating my crush. Just then Leyla and Burple returned "We couldn't find any clues how's Winger ?" She asked looking at the blue dragon in question with sadness in her eyes
"He woke up and told us who did this to him" I told her she looked at me and Dak "Who"
"My Uncle" we heard someone say behind us we turned around and saw Axel? standing in the doorway
"Wait Magnus did this to him?" she asked shocked "yes he was furious that he blasted his latest invention"
"He's telling the truth Ley Winger said it was Magnus as well" I told her Axel seemed to understand what I was telling her
"So why are you telling us this?" Asked Dak still shocked and confused
"Because you were my former Rescue Mates and I like Winger he's kind and caring so when I followed my uncle and saw what he did to Winger I knew he went to far so I came to tell you"
"Thanks Axel be safe Magnus is unpredictable" warned Leyla he nodded and smiled at me then left.
Cutter and Aggro came back with some fish for Winger "Why did we just see Axel leave the Roost" asked Cutter
We explained what Axel had told us about Magnus and Winger confirmed he was telling the truth to Cutter and Agro when we finished Agro was red and angry I can understand why I was two
"That's it nobody attacks one of are own and gets away with it Magnus needs to PAY" we all agreed with her
We were interrupted by a groin from Winger we all turned and looked at him he opened his eyes "h.I.g.u.y.s" he spoke still weak we walked up to him "Winger have some food" I told him I grabbed a fish and put it in front of him he put it in his mouth and swallowed it.Leyla walked up to him and put her hand on his back but quickly removed it
"Winger you still have a high temperature Summer could you" I knew what she was asking I sprayed some water on to Winger he let out a sigh and steam came off his body
"Better Wing?" I asked him "B..ett..er" he replied with a weak smile

Winger's POV
Summer is so nice taking good care of me she's kinda cute what I'm I saying she will never like a dragon like me where not even the same species.
Dak walked up and asked "Winger you okay?" I nodded because it was still hard to speak he smiled "take it easy pal you need to rest and we will be looking after you" everyone was nodding in agreement I smiled lucky to have such good friends
Leyla spoke up" okay it's getting late tomorrow we will confront Magnus but for tonight all of you will keep an eye on Winger" she told the group then Summer spoke up "I will keep and eye on him" I was surprised but happy that I got to spend time with my secret crush
"Alright Sum see you guys in the morning" said Leyla with a smirk. I wonder what that was about Dak and Layla climbed up the ladder and closed the trap door into the sleep cave
Everyone began to get comfortable and started to drift off to sleep Summer moved closer to me and lied next to me I closed my eyes but started to shivering I was freezing from being left in the forest for what felt like hours come to think of it probably was hours but at least I have Summer with me.
Summer's POV
I went and lied down next to Winger he closed his eyes but stared to shivering I thought what to do when I got and idea I snuggled up next to him and put my wing over him he seemed to stop shivering and relaxed and he drifted off to sleep I looked at him sleeping peacefully I closed my eyes and went to sleep
