Chapter 3 : Confrontation and Leaving for the Island

Summer's POV
I woke up I looked around I was still snuggled into Winger's side he was still asleep he looked so cute when he sleeps I got up and went to get him some fish I returned with some fish and he began to stir he woke up and smiled
"Morning Summer" "Morning Wing how are you feeling?" I asked
"Better I think" he tried to stand up but his paws were wobbly I let him lean on me we headed out of the sleep cave I let him rest on the grass he smiled and closed his eyes a couple minutes later light snoring could be heard from from the blue dragon.
Just then the rest of the team walked out I pointed my head to Winger sleeping they got the message and headed off to eat breakfast Layla and Dak walked up to me.
"How was Winger last night?" Layla asked "he was shivering so I em snuggled up next to him and kept him warm" I told them I felt my face turn red again.
Layla and Dak looked at each other smirked and looked back at me "okay so me and Layla have come up with a plan when Winger is feeling better you will ask him if he wants to go to a island for a couple of days to relax got it" Dak told me with Layla nodding in agreement.
I thought about it it sounded like a good plan considering what Magnus has put Winger through speaking of which "what about Magnus?" I asked them they looked at each other then back at me
"Where going to confront him now do you want to come but promise you won't attack him" Layla said worried about what I might do because he did hurt Winger I just nodded she smiled "but if Magnus gets wet it's fine" she then jumped on my back along with Dak since Winger is sleeping and we flew off to Magnus's house.
We were getting closer when we heard shouting coming from Magnus's hut.
"Why did you tell the rescue runts it was me who hurt that flapping lizard I wanted them to forget him" we heard Magnus shout "because it was barbaric uncle he could have died" Axel protested "that was the point and now your going to be forgotten" we then heard screams coming from Axel we were coming into view of Magnus's house.
We saw Axel lying on the ground with a black eye on his face "Axel!" Layla and Dak shouted he looked up hope filled his eyes we landed and we all let out a low growl Magnus walked up "go away rescue runts this is a family matter" Magnus told us
"Is hurting your nephew acceptable and also hurting Winger he could have died" Dak shouted "that was the point to kill that flappy lizard no one cares about him anyways" "that's it no one talks about Winger like that and gets away with it" I spoke anger in my voice Layla smirked "Magnus you should cool off" "cool off why should I do.." but before he could finish his sentence I soaked him with water Layla and Dak took the opportunity to get Axel they put him on my back and climbed on we headed back to the Roost "this isn't over rescue runts!" we heard Magnus shout as we flew away.
Winger's POV
I woke up in the grass and lifted my head no one was around "I wonder where they are" I said out loud I then let my mind drift off. I began thinking about Summer and how I was going to confess my feelings towards her,maybe I should tell Dak he will know what to do then I heard the others come back. They landed in front of me but had a worried look.
"Em guys is everything alright?" I asked them then Dak and Layla got off Summer with "Axel?" He had a black eye and didn't look good "what happened?" I asked "Magnus punished him for telling us that it was him who hurt you" Summer explained.
"Wait Axel told you that Magnus hurt me" wow I didn't expect that so Axel saved my life, Layla and Dak we're taking Axel inside I thought it would be a good time to tell Dak about my feelings" "Dak could I have a word?" "Sure Wing" he followed me behind the Roost.
"So what did you want to talk about also are you feeling better?" "Much better thanks and I have something to tell you I like I..like" just tell him "Summer" I felt my face turn bright red he looked at me and smirked "so let me get this straight you have a crush on my sisters dragon"
"Yes she's just so kind,caring,smart" I felt myself just going on and stopped,I looked at Dak and he smiled "if you really like her why don't you confess?" He asked.
"Because she wouldn't like like me where not even the same species" I told him feeling defeated "Winger you are an amazing dragon and Summer would be lucky to have you so just give it time and you'll see" Dak told me "okay" he's right I could just wait and see what happens which is what I'm going to do since I don't have the confidence to tell Summer how I feel about her.
Summer's POV
When we landed back at the Roost Winger was there to greet us he seemed much better. We were talking Axel inside when Winger spoke "Dak could I have a word?" Dak followed Winger around the back of the Roost I wonder what that's about the rest of us took Axel inside.
"How is he" Agro asked "he has one black eye and some bruises but he will be alright tomorrow" Layla said "Well that's Good he did save Winger" I spoke
"Speaking of Winger Summer I think now is the time you should ask him if he wants to go away for a couple of days" Layla told me I walked into that one.
"But he's only just recovered and" "Summer" Layla said my name with annoyance in her voice
"Okay I will go and ask him" Layla smiled at my answer. I walked outside and went where Dak and Winger had walked off to I saw them talking Winger seemed to notice me and stopped talking weird.
"Em Winger I was thinking do you want to go away for a couple of days just the two of us ?" I asked him hopping he would say yes,he looked at Dak who nodded and then turned back to me "Sure Summer when do you want to leave?' He asked me "Em how about now?" I replied he agreed.
We said goodbye to Dak and flew off for are Vacation.

So Summer and Winger are going to a island for a couple of days will they confess find out in the next chapter.
