Chapter 3: Crater Debacle

Olivia and Nina arrived at Craters of the Moon, a major landmark in Idaho. It is unclear why there is an Anomaly shard here. It is located a few miles away from Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, Arco, and several other small towns that are conjoined. The place is a beautiful sight to see, with craters spread out across the area. It is also another route that you can take back to Boise.

Olivia asks, "Why do we get a landmark instead of a city or town?" Nina suggests covering smaller landmarks first

Olivia rolled her eyes and said, "I understand your point, but there are hundreds of them in Idaho."

Nina shrugged and replied, "Yes, but we only have 50 Anomaly shards here. It's just a suggestion that we take a look at them. Who knows what we might find? It's better to try and gain something than nothing at all."

Olivia and Nina have arrived at their destination and agreed to start working on the task assigned by Geraldo. Nina checks her phone and suggests doing some research to get a better understanding of the project.

Olivia surveys the craters around them and asks, "Where should we start?"

Nina shakes her head and responds, "Why don't we walk up and see? That might give us a better idea."

As they approached the craters, Nina scanned the area while Olivia nodded. "Alright, it says it's up towards the left," Nina said. But just then, they noticed the logo of the anti-stars and Olivia cursed under her breath. "Dammit, it looks like our other enemies are back," she exclaimed.

Nina let out a sigh and said, "Let's hurry and get it before they do." The group ran toward the target, but as they approached, a woman with black hair and a darker skin tone cut on one side stepped forward. She spoke with an Australian accent and had a grin on her face as she readied her gun. "Don't try to get it, or you're dead," she warned, while the others with her also prepared their weapons.

Nina and Olivia sighed as they ran towards their target. They opened fire, but the Anti-Stars retaliated, prompting a strange ice barrier to form around Nina and Olivia. "Woah, did you do that? I can call you Elsa now, I guess?" Nina giggled. Olivia rolled her eyes. "I guess I did, but please don't. That was badass." The Anti-Stars attempted to break down the barrier by firing at it, but the bullets couldn't penetrate it.

Olivia and Nina successfully retrieve the anomaly shard and thank each other for their teamwork. They head back to Geraldo to report their success. However, the anti-stars, their opponents, start throwing grenades at them, targeting the ice barrier. Olivia and Nina quickly realize that the explosives might not be immune to the barrier, but they are happy to find out that it is immune to bullets. As they try to make their way back, Nina screams, causing the explosives to change direction and come towards them. Nina realizes that the anti-stars must have upgraded their arsenal since the last time they encountered them. Although the sound of Nina's screaming is painful to their ears, it ultimately saves their lives, as the explosives fail to breach the barrier.

Geraldo's drones arrive and Olivia places the Anomaly shard on it before returning it to him. The Anti-Stars attempt to shoot the drone, but Olivia's hands transform into ice and she launches a giant crystal blast towards them. Nina nods in approval, "That's rad, girl. Let's get the hell out." Olivia agrees and they run back to the car. The Anti-Stars are distracted by the drone, but it doesn't faze it, and it eventually flies back to Geraldo. Nina and Olivia get into the car and begin driving off, but the Anti-Stars follow them in their SUV. "These kids are persistent. We need to lose them, but first let's decide what to eat before we start driving," says Nina. The Anti-Stars try to shoot the car's tires, causing Nina to scream, which triggers the car to camouflage. "Woah, the car just camouflaged. Cool," says Olivia. The Anti-Stars are unable to locate them, and the woman snarls, "We'll get them. After all, they won't stop Natalia Redfield."

Nina and Olivia were discussing their abilities in a lighthearted manner. Nina joked that they had the abilities of ice and screams, and their defense was an icy barrier and camouflage. Olivia responded with a joke about not wanting to be deafened. Nina assured her that she wouldn't do that. Later, the anti-stars drove off to their base. Meanwhile, Daniel and Elijah arrived in Blackfoot.

"Here we are, let's find the Anomaly shard," Elijah said. "What if I could become Iron Man and get some suit of armor?" Daniel laughed. "That would be cool," he wondered about their abilities.
