Chapter 10: Burley

Claire and Nina Arrived at Burley in search of the Anomaly shard. Larry had not found anything yet. Facing each other Claire began speaking up "Look I'm sorry if things have been awkward for us recently. I want to be friends and if we get married someday I want you to be one of my bridesmaids" She said happily driving

Nina smiled "Thanks Claire means a lot I'm sorry I ruined your chances of both having a chance to lose your virginity to each other. I know I never had a chance to be with him with having you in the picture. I'm glad you're together you're good for each other and balance each other out your chemistry is uncanny makes me jealous but hopeful I'll have a guy like him. I would be honored to be one of your bridesmaids Claire"

Claire squeals "Yay. It's okay I know that whenever we do decide to have our first time together it'll be very special for us."

Nina smiled "I know it will, you two have a callous heart and they never break"

Claire blushed a bit she was not sure how to answer you could tell she was happy though she smiled and faced her when speaking "That reminds me of the intro to Black Rain by Creeper when Hannah speaks the opening words to the song 'We Together have the Callous Heart because Callous Heart don't break' I think it's cute I love that song and band Jay does too" Nina giggles softly "Awe so adorable I just feel like you two should get married already. I do like that song and love Creeper. We should be arriving at Burly by now. Where do you think this Anomaly shard could be?"

Claire tries to hide that she is blushing "I don't want to rush getting married I love him but I don't think marriage should be a priority right now. Especially since we have other important things to do first, maybe once we have taken care of this we could consider it. I would think of somewhere that's a Hotspot or where most tourists would be inclined to check" Nina tried to get a topography look for Burley trying to see if she could find one with Claire's description. "I think one thing could fit that description" She drives to the downtown part of Burley looking around so far Larry has not seen any whereabouts of the anomaly shard in the vicinity. Burley is like a usual small town nothing super fancy some restaurants you find anywhere and a few are only local to Burley. Especially one certain burger place Claire points it "We could look there?"
Nina nods Larry guides them with his navigation skills a few minutes later they arrive at the Burger Place. Claire pulls up to the restaurant, Larry reverting to his phone form. "I have another suggestion we can look after this place. I found a park called Storybook Park" Clarie and Nina smile "Perfect we'll go there next Thanks Larry"
Larry smiles and sends coordinates to  their phones
Claire and Nina sit down in a booth and look at a menu they get water she texts Me "Hey Babe I hope that you and Olivia are okay and got the Anomaly shard"

Olivia and I were heading toward Meridian I was on the passenger side and replied to Clarie 'Hey Babe Olivia and I got the Anomaly shard but we have to tell you all some news we discovered. We're on our way to Meridian right now I hope you and Nina are being safe'

Claire smiles at the text and replies 'Glad you two got it, you stay safe too both of you. Call me when you arrive I miss your voice. Nina and I are in Burley looking for it right now we're eating first and then heading to a park  to see if it's there.'

I smile and reply Olivia had Taylor Swift on currently Playing Bejeweled singing along to it 'We will thank you, absolutely I miss yours too. Good luck and enjoy the food. At least you're not stuck in a car listening to Taylor Swift'
I have nothing against Taylor Swift I do like her music and respect her as an artist I'm just not obsessed and I like some of her songs they're hit or miss at times but she is a wonderful lyricist and singer.
Oliva singing and points at me "Sing boy, I know you love this song and if you butcher it I'll have it on repeat until you sing it right" She is not joking when she says that she will have you singing on key and sing it right I've memorized half her discography from that and seen her over 20 times in Concert singing along to All her songs on the setlist and even Met her a few times one of the most chill people I know. Olivia always was obsessed and when we hang out usually has Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Halsey, Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo oh, and Paramore which I don't mind I like their music
I listen to them a lot on my drives when I am stressed or need some time to relax I would drive and listen to them. It's been like that since I first learned to drive.

Claire giggled she knew what it's like to hang out with Olivia she and I are the people she's with occasionally she hangs out with the others too. She then replies 'Oh lord I feel bad next time you're around me we'll listen to some Queen' Queen is one of my favorite bands Freddie Mercury was a phenomenal singer and their discography was mostly bangers my favorites are a Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Another One Bites The Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, The Seven Seas of Rye, Your my Best Friend, The Show Must Go on, Somebody to Love, Radio GA GA and Killer Queen. But other honorable mentions are Under Pressure, We Will Rock You, Break Free, and We Are The Champions.

I then replied 'It's All Good, I'm down for that' One time Claire and I had a random conversation about what would be our song we would dance to at our wedding ones I picked were Eternally Yours, Perfect, Somebody to Love, You Belong With Me, Just the Two of Us, Careless Whisper, Heart of Fire, We Belong Together, Love is a Battlefield and Night Moves.
Claire picked God Gave Me You, Died In Your Arms Tonight, Can't Help Falling in Love, You're My Best Friend, A Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Love Bites, When Love and Hate Collide, All of Me, Adore You and Kiss From A Rose. Not necessarily getting married to each other but if we were to get married to different people those would be our songs if it was our wedding now it's likely we'll have those songs I mentioned play there.

Claire's heart reacted to the message and replied 'Call Me Later 😘🥰😍'

I heart react to her message and replies 'You bet your ass I will 😉😏😍🥰😘'

Claire giggled and ate her Cheeseburger and fries and Chocolate Milkshake heart reacting to my message

Nina practically had the same except her Milkshake was Strawberry flavored they paid the bill walked out left a tip and Larry got transformed into a Red Lamborghini they drove to Storybook Park arriving some minutes later Clarie and Nina stepped out of the car and walking around trying to track the anomaly shard on the radar

"Shit?! Why can we never have a break with these guys?" Nina exclaimed seeing the insignia of the Anti-Stars on their jeeps.
Claire rolls her eyes "Let's foil these Bastards' plans grab the anomaly shard and get the hell out"
Nina nodded she was prepared to fight Clarie too they thought of what they could do to cause a divergence. 
Nina camouflaged them, Claire activating her shield and walking slowly Nina tracked a rock and tossed it toward the Anti-Stars they shot at it. Freyja and Bjorn were looking for Claire and Nina. "They can't be far"
They search them Claire and Nina then find the anomaly shard "Found it" they dig it up Receiving it call for Geraldo's Drone seeing it arrive they place it inside the concealer closing up as it flies away the Anti Stars aiming their guns to shoot the drone it evades all the bullets successfully flying away back to Geraldo.
One stomps their foot on the ground
Nina Screams blowing them away and causing the tires to flatten and shatter the glass Clare runs with Nina to the Pink Lamborghini since they changed the color on it hoping to escape Storybook Park. Heading out of Burley
They both pant a bit "Goddamm I don't know how much luck we will have they're aggressive" huffed Nina "No kidding we got the shard now to our next location" Claire says in between pants. Driving back to the highway out of Burley.

Meanwhile, Trent and Daniel are searching for the Anomaly shard in Dubois
"Where would we look for an anomaly shard?" Trent said trying to track a signal for an anomaly shard Daniel trying the same "Hmm not sure but it would have to pop up somewhere"
