CORUSCANT - SENATE LANDING PLATFORM
Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Revan and Anakin stand on the landing platform outside the ship. The wind whips at Revan and Anakin as they listen to the Jedi.
Obi-Wan: It is not disrespect, Master, it is the truth.
Qui-Gon: From your point of view....
Obi-Wan: The boy is dangerous... they all sense it. Why can't you?
Qui-Gon: His fate is uncertain, he's not dangerous. The Council will decide Anakin's future... that should be enough for you. Now get on board!
Obi-Wan reluctantly boards the Naboo spacecraft. Qui-Gon goes over to Revan and Anakin who are standing next to R2.
Revan: Is everything alright Master Qui-Gon.
Qui-Gon: You don't need worry, Revan, Ani... I may not be allowed to train you both, so I want you to watch me and be mindful... always remember, your focus determines your reality. Stay close to me and you'll both be safe.
Revan: (nods) Alright.
Anakin: Master, sir... I heard Yoda talking about midi-chlorians. I've been wondering, what are midi-chlorians?
Qui-Gon: Midi-chlorians are a microscopic lifeforms that reside within all living cells.
Revan: They live inside of us?
Qui-Gon: In your cells, yes... and we are symbionts with them.
Anakin: Symbionts?
Qui-Gon: Life forms living together for mutual advantage. Without the midi-chlorians, life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force. When you learn to quiet your mind, you will hear them speaking to you.
Anakin: I don't understand.
Qui-Gon: With time and training, Ani... you will... you will.
Two taxis pull up, and Capt. Panaka, Queen Amidala, and her handmaidens stop before the Jedi.
Qui-Gon: (Cont'd) Your Majesty, it is our pleasure to continue to serve and protect you.
Amidala: I welcome your help. Senator Palpatine fears the Federation means to destroy me.
Qui-Gon: I assure you, I will not let that happen.
Amidala enters the ship, followed by her handmaidens.
Jar Jar: Wesa goen home!
Anakin: C'mon, R2.
They ALL move onto the ship. The ship takes off.
NABOO SPACECRAFT - QUEEN'S CHAMBERS
The Queens handmaidens stand behind Queen Amidala as she talks with Qui-Gon and Capt. Panaka. Obi-Wan, Revan and Jar Jar watch.
Capt. Panaka: As soon as we land the Federation will arrest you, and force you to sign the treaty.
Qui-Gon: I agree... I'm not sure what you wish to accomplish by this.
Amidala: I will take back what's ours.
Capt. Panaka: There are too few of us, Your Highness.... we have no army.
Qui-Gon: And I can only protect you. I cannot fight a war for you.
