Inadequacy, how is it decided. Who determines. You? Them?
I think even if someone says something without meaning offense, it can still cut deep.
It makes you wonder if you should change. Even if it's an aspect you have loved about yourself. It's almost a chip away at your sense of self.
For example a tattoo you committed yourself to and love. And someone says you're wrong for it. You would've already had to face opposition. But when it's from them. You question it.
Do you want to have someone like that in your life? Someone who doesn't like an aspect that's inherently you. Or at least wishes it would change. Or should you be the one to change? Conform if you do think they are the one.
