1: Search of the dead

Mumma!!! I am going, Aman shouted while leaving his room. Today, is very important day, today he is going for his civil service exam. He stayed up all night for studying, and morning he wakes up little late, so he doing everything fast forward.

Wait, Aman! wait a minute, Aman's mother shouted from the kitchen. She takes some curd in a bowl and add some sugar. It's a tradition in India, to have curd-sugar before going for something important for luck. Aman replied to his mother, What Mumma, I am already late, please hurry up. Aman's mother replied to Aman, Obviously you will be late if you sleep till afternoon. Okay, now take this, one or two spoon atleast. Aman replied, Oh curd-sugar, yes yes.

Aman takes few spoons of curd-sugar and leave the bowl on the table and bow down towards the feet of her mother and touches them for her wisdom and blessings. Aman's mother put her hand on his head and told him to run. Aman left immediately.

Aman comes on the main road and asked the Auto driver, if he can take him to his destination and driver agreed. He sit inside the Auto and told the driver to drive like aeroplane. Driver laughed and start his Auto for Aman's destination. On the way, Driver asked Aman, if he is going for the civil service exam and Aman nodded in yes as he is to busy to check his phone's messages. In few minutes, Aman reached to his exam center and asked the driver for the payment. Aman asked the Driver, How much? Brother! and Driver replied, Thirty rupees. Aman open his bag and take the bill of twenty and ten and gives them to the Driver. Aman said to the Driver, Here they are Brother, take it and Thank you. Driver bow his head a little as a sign of accepting Aman's thank you and takes the money and left.

Aman is still few meters away from the center. He raised his hand to see the time in his digital wrist watch and saw that there are only few minutes left, he panicked, looked straight and took out the leg and move forward. He haven't taken many steps yet but suddenly a car hit him. Aman flew into the air and car driver put everything on break pad to stop the car. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. His slim body rose up, slamming over the hood and roof of the car. Aman landed on the ground with a sickening sound, and surrounding people rushed over to him, hoping he is okay while others stopped the driver to run away from the scene. A person looked the Aman state, his half head and shoulder is bleeding, minor injuries on his shoulder and elbow with blood and knee is fractured completely. Everyone is murmuring to call an ambulance when the same car driver who hit the Aman, comes after few arguments with the other people on accident. He offered help and ask people to put Aman in his car's back seat. Two person helped and they both also joins the car driver to the hospital.

Hello! Aman, a sound comes from nowhere. Aman opens his eyes and saw himself in a gloomy garden. He find himself on a bench alone. Aman try to remember that how he is here instead of exam hall. He remembered that he is hitted by a car and he imagined himself as dead and thought that this place must be heaven. He look around and there is no one except him when suddenly he saw a lady sitting on the bench beside him. He shocked and stare the lady.

She is beautiful, wearing a long white dress covering her entire lower body. A sweet smile on her face, with black eyes starring at him with full of hope. Her long black hairs are floating because of wind. Which makes Aman wonder because he doesn't feel wind or even air. Aman touches his head to confirm that's when the lady said.
Hello! Aman, how are you? And Aman confirmed that there is no wind around him and replied to the lady. I am fine, miss and asked her, Are you death Angel or God of death because I heard it's a man named Yamraj (God of Death and Justice in Hindu Mythology)? She replied with her warm and melody voice, No Aman. I am Spirit of Light and you can call me Maya ( means Illusion in Hindi ). But yes, you're dead. After listening to her last sentence, Aman got sad and remembered all of his regrets and desires. He got tears in his eyes and about to cry, Maya said something more surprising.

But you I can make alive again if- and Aman cuts her words in between and with full of hope he said. What, you can. Thank you very much Goddess Maya. I will pray to you before any God. Thank you, Thank you very much. Maya continue, if you become a Sentinel (means Gaurdian or Protector). Aman immediately replied, What is a Sentinel? as he didn't know the meaning of the word. Maya answered him, A Sentinel is a Gaurdian or Protector and as a Sentinel your job is to protect the world from the evil souls and demons.

Aman shocked after hearing the word Demon and Evil souls and got nervous. He gulped his nervousness and asked Maya, Demon and Evil? And Maya replied, Yes but don't worry I will give you powers, so that you can fight against them and also there will be some people who will help you.
Aman takes a breath of peace and asked Maya, Powers? What's kind of powers? Other people? Am I being casted in a superhero group? Just like you know in movies, when the main character dies or got into an accident he developed some kind of superpower or someone pass on their powers to them. Maya laughed and said, Hahaa, yes something like that. So, would you like to join them?
Aman immediately replied, Yes just tell me what kind of powers am i getting, flying, laser eyes but it would be better if I can choose. He smiled and Maya replied, Ah your powers you would find them very soon. Aman got sad but he comeback with a smile and said, Okay no problem. And Maya replied to his words, So Are you ready to be alive again and Aman nodded in Yes.

Maya takes Aman's hands and hold them with her hands leaving Aman in wonder and said. I, Maya, the Spirit of Light, asking my fellows, People of Light to choose this young man as my new Soul of Light and cast him in my team of Senitels of Light. After completing her words she asked Aman to follow her and repeat her words for himself.

Maya: He-

Maya: promise to save this world-

Maya: from the evil eyes of Demons and Evil Souls-

Maya: and will follow the guidance of Mine & People of Light-

Aman: till I live.

And those words come to an end, a light thread from the back of Maya comes out, spiral hand and follow to the Aman's body and spiral his hand and goes to his head from the above side. As those light threads reached to Aman's head, his eyes sparkle makes him to close his eyes.

Doctor! Doctor! There is an emergency, the car driver shouted in hospital as he carries Aman's body with the help of two other guy. A nurse boy saw them and told them to take the patient in emergency room. He showed them the direction and told a doctor to about the patient in the way. On the way, the nurse boy checked the nerves of Aman and they're not responding means he is dead but the nurse boy didn't say anything and when Doctor arrive, he wishper his observation in the Doctor's eye. Doctor immediately checked the nerves of Aman and breath in relief and told the Nurse boy to shut up and asked the car driver about the accident after seeing the state of Aman's body. Car driver couldn't speak a word as he is breathing hardly, so the other person explained everything to the doctor. Doctor did his work, stopped the bleeding from Aman's head and body injury and dressed them well. After listening to the explanation from the person, he looked with gaze towards the Car driver and car driver is still breathing hardly. After seeing the state of the car driver, Doctor told him relax and asked him how did it happen. Doctor nodded to the nurse boy as sign of saying something and nurse understands and gets a glass of water to all three of them, Car driver and two other person. Doctor said to those three, Thankfully the patient survived despite the excessive bleeding from such kind of injuries. And about the knee, you told me is perfectly fine. Car driver immediately asked, Such kind of injuries? What do you mean? Doctor, Are they really bad? Doctor replied, I mean the level of injuries are very low, but by looking at his pullover, he did bleed a lot luckily not much, but it's a surprise that how can such small injuries can cause so much bleeding. But, I would suggest that he shouldn't bleed again that much otherwise he will need a blood doner. Doctor just finished his words and Aman wakes up immediately and looked with surprise towards everyone.
