Chapter 17 : "Drag others to Save yourself from Drowning"

You were speechless as you saw the man standing in front of you. Both of you were equally confused, but you were terrified along with it.
You heard footsteps coming your way, so you grabbed him by his collar and hurried inside the washroom.

"I need to use the restroom."

You got alerted as you heard their conversation. To avoid any suspicions, you pulled Taehyung inside the toilet room. The space was very little, and you had one of your hand on his mouth so that he doesn't speak anything.
He did got along with whatever you did without asking any question too.

You kept looking here and there as your focus was only on the people outside. After some good minutes, when you were finally sure that they've left, you released your hand from his mouth as you sighed in relief.

Y/N - "What are you doing here!?"

You said in confusion as well as displeasure. He was the last person you wanted to see in this place as it was totally unexpected too.
He got a little startled by your tone, as you sounded angry, and also because you still had your grip on his collar.

Taehyung - "I... Y/N what are you doing here? I thought you wouldn't accompany me.."
Y/N - "Accompany you?? I didn't come here to accompany you! I-Argh just what are you doing here??"
Taehyung - "Well I-I got invited to this party you see..."
Y/N - "Party??"
Taehyung - "Yeah... I told you several times and I even thought that it'd be better if we went together... But you seemed so busy with your work lately, that I didn't want to burden you more with personal wishes."

You stared at him for a while as you paused, processing whatever he said. He was right. He did tell you about the party many times but you couldn't even expect it to be this one.
You left his collar and sighed, while rubbing your temples in tension.

Y/N - "What are the odds..."
Taehyung - "I'm sorry for not informing you this morning, but you seemed busy. Well... It's a good thing we met together right? I didn't know your extra work was here."
Y/N - "Oh... Right."
Taehyung - "But... You've dressed differently today Y/N. And even a wig? I almost didn't recognize you at first haha."

You looked back at him as you took a deep breath, as he smiled sheepishly. Explaining this situation to him will only drag him to more trouble, so you decided not to.

Y/N - "See, Taehyung, I need you to follow what I say. In this party, you don't know me. Just keep that in mind. We've met now, but we won't meet again. I have some confidential business to attend to, and I don't want you to get in any trouble, so you have to keep distance from me. That's the reason why I'm not dressed as usual. You understand?"
Taehyung - "Oh I did know you were trying to avoid getting known, and I'll do what you say."
Y/N - "Great, we've come here alone, but we'll leave this place together. There's a resort about 5 miles away from here, let's meet there when we're leaving, okay?"
Taehyung - "When are you leaving?"
Y/N - "The party has just started."

"I seriously didn't expect that at all Miss Y/N. But let's get back to it. The acquaintances of Miss Lee are not in the building at the moment, so you can move around freely. Go upstairs, this floor has the control room with all the security system, so you can view every place from the cams."

You fixed your earpiece a bit as you walked upstairs. You didn't see Taehyung after that, and you didn't see Phoenix either.
With your eyes darting around, you searched for the control room.
