I sat in my bed, tapping my foot nervously against the floor of my room as thoughts rushed through my head
I didn't have a dream, or a nightmare as I call it, which is extremely concerning. Why would it all of a sudden just dissappear like that? I mean, I was grateful that nothing happened, but I can't seem to get this uneasy feeling out of me
I know Zip is still here, I can sense his presence. But, why isn't the monster here? Maybe I'm just overthinking things, let me just be grateful that nothing happened
Suddenly, I get a notification on my phone. I quickly grab it, thinking Lillian or Kye sent me a message, but I stared at the notification in shock and confusion
Why was Caden messaging me? I mean, maybe he just misses me or something, but I thought mom would have my contact blocked and/or deleted from their phones by now, so why send a message
Either way, I opened it. But I was only left more confused at the text message

My heart dropped once the message was sent. I gripped my phone tightly as time seemed like it slowed down, everything was muffled and the birds outside stopped singing
