Author's POV:

"Hi, son," he said nervously, his voice shaking a little as he gathered the courage to maintain eye contact. "Um, I was just..."

"Pin Tanapon! Since when have you started disturbing the lecture like other fellows?! Huh?"

The professor of financial economics interrupted Pin in the middle of his sentence, sounding annoyed as he scolded him for causing a disturbance. Pin's heart sank as he realized that he had caught the attention of his professor.

Feeling really embarrassed, Pin stuttered, "I'm sorry, sir," in a quiet voice. He lowered his head and struggled to speak as he weakly apologized. He felt a strong sense of guilt weighing on him and said, "I promise it won't happen again, sir."

The professor's stern gaze softened a bit as he spoke, "Keep your words, Pin. This is the first time you've made a mistake, so I'm forgiving you. But, keep remember that next time, I won't be so forgiving. Do you understand?" His warning lingered in the air, leaving no room for confusion.

Pin nodded, his head still lowered in shame. "Yes, sir," he replied softly, his voice tinged with a mix of regretful and submission.

"Now, sit down and concentrate only on the lecture," the professor commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Upon hearing the order, Pin immediately obeyed, sinking into his seat and burying his face in his book, attempting to hide his embarrassment.

Beside him, Pond leaned in and whispered, concern evident in his voice, "Are you okay, Pin?" He made sure to keep his voice low, not wanting to draw the attention of the lecturer.

Pin's frustration could be heard in his whispered response, "keep your mouth shut for now! I don't want to get scolded again because of a stupid annoying Italian Ghost." Although his words couldn't be heard by others, Pond heard them clearly and followed Pin's lead, remaining silent in the same way as Pin.

Pin POV:

The loud noise of the college alarm interrupted the financial economics class and signaled the start of the next lecture.

As the professor left the classroom, Son, who was sitting infront of me, turned to look at me with a sympathetic look on his face. His eyes were clearly screaming concern for me while he asked me, "Are you alright, Pin?"

I could tell he genuinely cared about me after seeing how I was scolded. "I know the professor was little harsh with you," he added, sounding sympathetic. I replied quietly, barely audibly, "It's okay, Son. I have to admit, it was my fault to begin with."

Even though I couldn't say it out loud, I felt a sense of sadness being scolded in front of Son, someone I had developed feelings for

Even though I couldn't say it out loud, I felt a sense of sadness being scolded in front of Son, someone I had developed feelings for. It was a new experience for me because no teacher had ever raised their voice at me, let alone scolded me so severely.
