"A day off?" 21-year-old Sun Yumi barely comprehended the proposition. It was absolutely atrocious, especially when she had— "So much work to do! I don't have time for a day off."
"What a quick way to achieve burnout," her oldest friend Jin said drily as he shoved his way into her apartment without bothering to knock. Breaking and entering, check. "Pack a swimsuit and be ready in 30 minutes for a pool day."
"A pool day?" she sputtered in disbelief as he retrieved a bag from beneath her bed. She paused as her confusion peaked. "Has that always been under there?"
"Nice to know you don't pay attention to your surroundings." He gave her a look. "Jimin snuck it in the last time he was here."
She pinched the bridge of her nose. "Do I even want to know?"
"Yeah, actually. I think it's important you know he said your bag is hideous."
She bristled. "I have a beautiful fucking bag."
"It's definitely something."
"It's better than his!"
"Right." He tossed the bag at her, barely missing her foot. She jumped back, but he ignored her indignant cries for justice. "Hurry up and pack. Meet us outside when you're done."
"I'm not going!"

"Who else is coming?" she inquired as she handed Jin her fully packed bag.
He squinted. "Why aren't you wearing your swimsuit?"
"Because we're not at the pool yet?"
"But we will be.""But we're not."
Pointedly, he told her, "The rest of us will be able to jump in right when we arrive, but you'll have to change."
She jutted her hip out, peering at him from over the rim of her sunglasses. "I most certainly do not care."
"Get in the car." He took her bag, loading it into the van. "I can't even look at you right now."
She huffed, making a big show of flipping him off before stalking to the car, mumbling to herself throughout the three-second ordeal, "Wakes me up at the ass crack of dawn, tells me my bag is ugly, says he doesn't even want to look at me, and—"
"Pool day!"
She jumped at the sound of a new voice, whirling around as she urged her heart to stay within her chest.
She turned to find Jimin's spread-out figure munching on Pringles.
"You scared me," she scolded. "What are you—wait." She narrowed her eyes, stepping closer to him. She slapped his leg. "Who are you to tell me that I have a hideous beach bag?"
He hissed, almost dropping the Pringles can as he rubbed his leg. "I'm Park Jimin. I can say whatever the fuck I want to—ow, ow, okay, okay, I'm sorry!"
She released his ear, although she was nowhere close to being appeased. She held her hand out.
He grudgingly handed over a Pringle.
She wiggled her fingers.
He grudgingly handed over two more Pringles.
She shook her hand impatiently.
He grudgingly handed over the can.
She was only slightly closer to being appeased. "Why are we taking a pool day?" she asked through a mouthful of Pringles.
