"Another day," Yumi drawled, peering over her designer shades (from the dollar store), "Another pool escapade. Why," she added pointedly as she looked at Jin, "do we have to go to a separate pool if we have one right in your backyard?"

He deadpanned. "Do you know nothing?"

"Apparently not, old man."

"A change of scenery," the old man chided. "And you need one. Jungkook told me you had a day off last week—only one. How long have you been going without days off?"

"As long as your mother's been alive, and shit"—she stretched, giving him a wry look—"that's prehistoric."

He set her with a hard look. "Keep your ridiculous mom jokes to Jungkook."

"You would appreciate them if you had any taste of humor whatsoever." She tossed her pool bag at him, screeching when he hurled it right back at her.

She barely missed being hit head first with it, and as she was about to throw it back at him, he set her with another hard look that had her questioning her life choices. She slowly set the bag down.

Bad bitches knew when to fear for their lives.

"Speaking of Jungkook," Jimin said as a way of greeting as he approached the car. He side-stepped her bag. "Where is he?"

"Inside," Yumi responded, eyeing Jin warily.

Jimin looked between them. "Am I interrupting something?"

"Yumi was getting in the car," Jin said pointedly. "Now."

Yumi scowled before sporting both of her middle fingers. To Jimin, she said, "I'm going to throw his phone in the pool."

"Yumi," Jin warned, but before he could continue scolding her—his favorite past time, she was sure with how often he did it—his phone rang.

He put a finger up, his eyes conveying he had many chides to say to her once he hung up.

His eyes, however, grew wary as the person on the other line spoke. Eventually, Jin's features clouded.

"There's no one else?" he pressed, annoyance causing his lips to draw into a tight line. "No coverage?" He pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. I'll be there in thirty minutes." He hung up. Pointed at Yumi again. "Threaten my phone again, and you'll never find yours again."

The bad bitch almost shuddered.

Jimin wondered, "Work?"

Jin grumbled, "Work." He slammed the trunk of his car closed. "No pool day today, but mark my words, Yumi." His eyes flashed. "There will be."

She scowled. "I don't want your stupid pool days. I always end up drowning."

"Yet you're still alive," he said, unimpressed. He rounded his car, Yumi expertly evading him as he entered the driver's seat. Only when the door closed behind him did she feel brave enough to push her hand down on the window and leave a massive hand print. She laughed mischievously when he glared at her.

He lowered the window. "If I see you walking dogs in the neighborhood, I'm going to drag you to the pool."

"Why do I have to relax at the pool only?" she griped. "I can relax elsewhere."

"No, you can't," Jimin and Jin said in unison.

Jimin added, "It's probably because Jungkook gives you more attention at the pool. Holds your hand and lets you cling to him." His eyes narrowed, and he repeated slowly, "Holds your hand and lets you cling to him." His eyes narrowed until they were slits. "Are you and Jungkook a thing?"
