The only dilemma they had now was how to get back home.
Ivy was very warm and welcoming, but the siblings still felt like something was missing without their father by their side.
Naomi was still confused about why her husband had visited her sister's house before. However, in spite of her confusion, she was grateful to be reunited with her children.
They all gathered around Ivy, desperate for an escape plan. What Ivy told them next shocked them to the core.
Ivy turned to Audrey and told her that the decision of whether to stay or go was up to her.
Audrey shook her head in confusion. 'How could it possibly depend on me?'
Ivy gave them all a knowing smile. 'We should all sit down,' she said. 'This is going to be a long story.'
Ivy's voice grew serious.
'When you and your husband divorced, the only person who didn't care about your family was your husband.
He was content to leave you and your daughter behind.
Audrey put on a brave face during the day, but at night, she couldn't help but cry. She missed the family she used to have.
She missed her father's laugh, her mother's advice, and her brother's companionship.
She even missed the familiar feeling of home. But now, home was different, and she wasn't sure if she could ever feel at home again.
One day, while running errands, Audrey overheard someone in the store talking about a river called the River Mystery.
The stranger claimed that the river was able to do things that other rivers couldn't. Audrey was fascinated, and she decided to find out more about the mysterious river.
As she listened to the stranger's tale, Audrey couldn't help but wish that the River Mystery was real.
If it was, maybe it could bring her family back together. But as she would soon find out, the River Mystery had a way of making wishes come true in unexpected ways.
In the legends, the River Mystery only granted one wish to each person who found it. But for some reason, it was willing to grant two wishes to Audrey.
Perhaps it sensed that she was in desperate need of a miracle. Or maybe it was drawn to her pure heart and sincere desire to reunite her family.
Audrey had two wishes, but only one could be granted by the River Mystery. She wanted both her family to be reunited and for her familyto be happy.
She viewed the two of them as a wish but River Mystery divided it into two. And as the legend went, the River Mystery could only grant one wish at a time.
Audrey would have to choose which wish was more important to her and it would grant her one wish.
