Getting up and leaving - Weezer

When I opened my front door, I wasn't expecting to see Noah. Or anyone, really. I honestly thought I was imagining the doorbell ringing. But nope! Not this time.

Noah stood there, drenched head to toe, the rain water pouring onto him and then off of him. He kinda looked like a wet dog! Well, not as much as his dog, Honey, looked like a wet dog.

I let out a quiet yawn, staring at him for a moment. "Why are you here... And why are drenched?" I let out a soft chuckle, smiling at him. Hey, I don't mind a guest, but he was holding a suitcase and a backpack.. Not to mention, he brought Honey with him as well. Is he looking to stay the night? That's excessive for one night, though.

He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, making a clicking sound, "Because It's raining." He looked at me like I was dumb, letting out a sigh. His dog, on the other hand, looked up at me happily. I'm more of a cat person, but Noah's dog is so cute!!

"Only answered on half of my question..." I chuckled quietly.

He nodded with a quiet sigh. "Can I come in?" I continued to stare at him in though before nodding hastily. "Yeah!" He smiled at me, walking inside, Honey walking in behind him. Noah carefully took off his shoes, moving them to be neatly sitting next to the pair I'd kicked off not three whole hours ago.

"Oh, you don't have to take your shoes off." I said quietly, leaning over and petting his dog. Noah raised an eyebrow at me, rolling his eyes, "Weirdo." He said with a chuckle, dropping Honey's leash and walking over to my living room. He sat on the couch, biting his nails nervously.

"Hey!" I yawned. "You can't come in my house and start calling me a weirdo!" I said, crossing my arms, Noah's dog jumping on me and barking. Begging me to pet him.
I pet him, walking over to the couch and over to Noah.

"So like... What happened?" I asked, sitting down next to him, grabbing a pillow and hugging it to my chest. He scratched his cheek, shrugging.
"Emma's a lesbian now, I guess." He shrugged. My eyes widened, if I was drinking something, I would've spat it out.

"She is?? How do you know, did she tell you or something?" I asked, hugging the pillow tighter, already fully invested in what he was telling me. He took a deep breath, biting his lip and shaking his head. "Not exactly..." He looked down at his lap. "I walked in on her about to have sex with some girl." He said quietly.

My eyes widened more, putting my hand on his back. "That sucks dude, are you alright?" I asked, moving my head down to look at his face.

He shrugged, looking up at me and slightly pushing his hair to be out of his face. "Not really." He frowned.
I frowned back at him. "Well," I smiled a bit. "You can stay here if you want! I have an extra room you can stay in too." I smiled.

He smiled back at me, "Thanks Cody." I smiled more, nodding.
"Hey, do you want any tea or hot cocoa, maybe to calm you? Always helps me!" I said with a chuckle.

He nodded slowly, "A cup of tea doesn't sound too bad right now." I nodded back at him, getting up off the couch. "Coming up!" I said with a laugh, walking to the kitchen, he laughed back in return.

I let out a quiet hum, turning on the electric water boiler and turning to grab a tea bag.

..

"Here." I smiled at Noah, carefully handing the cup of tea to him. He smiled back at me, taking a sip. I sat back down on the couch next to him, stretching and getting comfortable.

"So," I watched as he put the teacup on the coffee table. "Do you need somewhere to stay?" I asked.
Noah nodded, scratching his neck. "I was hoping I could stay here for a bit..."
