After she got out her 'everything' shower, Priscilla began the process of getting ready.

It had been a while since she had been out to a party.

Everyone she had went to always ended up drama, or caused it.

She didn't know if she should feel guilty for missing the chaos, considering how boring her life had become.

All she had in her view was school and work.

As she carefully picked out an outfit, Priscilla got a glimpse of her bed.

Resting on-top of her sheet was the booklet that Lexi had put together.

Priscilla debated giving the play and Lexi a chance by reading it.

She still felt so much anger and disrespect from everything that had happened.

Flashbacks of the night from New Years flashed in her mind, watching Fezco talk with one of her old friends. She tried her hardest to push the past away, but it always lived in the back of her mind.

Accepting apologies from both sides only put a bandaid over a bullethole for Priscilla. The only thing worse that her anger, was her ability to hold a grudge. She could never fully let anything go.

Priscilla undid the french braids in her hair, rustling her fingers through the loose waves.

As she continued to pick at her appearance, perfecting herself, a knock was heard at the door.

"Come in!" She yelled, buttoning her jeans.

Maddy sang and danced as she closed the bedroom door behind her, "Hello!"

"Stop, I thought you weren't going to be here for another hour."

"It was either leave the house now, or get shut in by my mom. Plus, the liquor store was about to close,"

Maddy made herself comfortable on Priscilla's bed.

She emptied out her tote bag, the bottle of tequila rolling out. "I figured we'd pregame before Kat came."

"You read my mind," Priscilla laughed, stripping off her oversized pajama shirt as she searched for a new one.

"Tropicana or coke?"

"Coke and tequila?" Priscilla questioned, her face twisting at the suggested combination, "Are you okay?"

"Listen, the man was rushing me and I had to make a decision," Maddy held up her hands as she explained herself, fixing her hair in the reflection of Priscilla's mirror.

"No chaser, you're forgetting I'm Mexican."

"And you drink like one of my tios," her friend giggled, passing Priscilla the bottle.

Priscilla closed her eyes as she tilted her head back, pouring a large amount of alcohol into her mouth.

The burn still felt the same as it went down her throat, setting her stomach on fire.

Priscilla shuttered, shaking her head as the chills went up her arms.

"Ugh," she groaned, leaning her back for another one.

"You amaze me," Maddy watched, almost in awe of the girls' tolerance.

When they first became friends, Priscilla didn't even favor beer.

"I don't have work tomorrow so, might as well."

She handed back the heavy bottle to Maddy, who followed suit.

Maddy cheered, placing the top back on before placing the glass onto the bedroom floor next to her feet. As the two talked, Maddy paused at the booklet on Priscilla's nightstand.

"What's this?" She questioned, nonchalantly flipping through the thick pages.

"Lexi's play," Priscilla fluffed her hair, spraying the roots with hairspray as Maddy put it back.

"What did you do to deserve a copy?"

She rolled her eyes, putting all of her important items along with her makeup products in her purse, "We talked things out."

"You're better than me," Maddy chuckled, shaking her head as she picked at her acrylics, "My fists would've been talking."

"Créeme, yo quería but it wasn't worth it. Plus with me and Fezco talking again, I wasn't as angry as I used to be. I can't be mad at her, and not be mad at him."

"How is that going?"

"Fine," Priscilla answered, her voice cracking.

"Fine," Maddy mocked the girl's tone, shrugging her slender shoulders, "seriously."

"It's good, different."

"Fuck, am I pulling teeth here?"

"It's different like, he's different. He's more attentive, more romantic. He tries harder than he used to and he's more open with me. Of course, I'm not the same as I used to be, for the best but he doesn't mind it. It feels nice to not be the person giving my all for once."

"And you told him about Europe?"

"We're gonna deal with it when it comes. I just want to enjoy what we have while we still have it."

Priscilla took another shot as she saw Kat's car pulled into driveway.

"You wanna talk about your love life?"

"Fuck no, let's go."

The ride on the way to the party was filled with the girls' favorite songs ranging from nostalgic pop, to reggaeton, to classic rock.

It always seemed like the intimate car ride on the way to whatever function Priscilla was going to, was more enjoyable than the actual event itself.

As the girl's fixed their makeup and scents in the car, Kat pulled out her phone to take a couple of pictures.

"Can you believe in a year we won't be able to say we're in highschool anymore?"

"I can't wait," Maddy slurred, taking one last shot out of the almost empty bottle.

She turned around in her sest, passing it along to Priscilla, who's eyes were glued to her phone screen.

"I know that look," she sighed staring her best friend. "What did he say?" Maddy pressed.

Priscilla let out a deep breath, rereading the message before locking her home screen. She took the bottle from Maddy, holding her breath before taking the last shot. Her abdomen burned as the liquid went down, using her strawberry-flavored vape to wash it away.

"He wants to talk, he's going to pull up tonight."

"Jesus, all you guys do is talk." Kat blurred out, sipping up her purse.

"Kat, shut up," Maddy nudged her."

"Too much shit has happened," Priscilla shrugged, adjusting her top as they all began to step out of the car.

"Yeah, but is it even worth it anymore?"

Priscilla walked arm in arm with Kat and Maddy, as they tried not to trip over their own high heeled steps. "It's always worth it for him."
