Captured By Darth Vader

An important mission

When I was sitting on my bed, having my terrible homemade dinner, my droid, Zara-3 came up to me, giving me a signal (beeping sounds) that I had an incoming call from the Jedi council. I quickly stood up and put my plate aside. As I was walking into my cockpit I was trying to fix my hair a bit, I planned to go to sleep after eating, so I was already in my pyjama and had my hair in a messy bun. I looked unpresentable, but I had to take this call.

When I was sitting in the cockpit, I quickly pressed the blue button to accept the phone call. Suddenly, an undefined image of the Jedi council in Coruscant and three Jedi in their armchairs appeared on my Comlink.

"Good evening Lillian." Ahsoka Tano greeted me. They looked a bit shocked seeing me in pyjamas already, since it was only 8 pm. I guess that's one of the advantages of living alone, you can do whatever you want, like go to sleep at 8 pm on a Saturday night.

"Good evening masters." I replied, with an embarrassed look on my face. I would have never guessed three of the most powerful Jedi would see me in my pyjamas.

"We're sorry to call you so unexpectedly, but we have something important to talk to you about." Obi-Wan Kenobi excused themselves.

"Don't worry. I am all ears." I said.

"An important mission you are going to be sent on, young Lillian." Yoda started to say, I was excited to know what mission it would be this time, would it be another mission on my home planet Tatooine, or is there another attack on one of the Jedi temples where they want me to fight?

"You're going to destroy the Death Star." Ahsoka added. My eyes widened, I didn't expect that to be the mission. They seemed to notice the shocked look on my face, so Master Kenobi quickly added:

"But, don't worry, we don't consider this a dangerous mission. You will have to enter the construction site of the Death Star and find the main hall, that should be located near the landing station. When you find it, destroy every single machine in there, the Death Star should then self destroy itself. Due to these machines being used to keep oxygen in the Death Star. You will only have 10 minutes to leave." After a quick break, he continued, "Well, I am sure you can do this."

After his explanation of the whole mission, I was in doubt if I would be capable of destroying the Death Star on my own. They hadn't mentioned anyone coming with me, perhaps they had forgotten, so I asked:

"Will I be alone on the mission, or will somebody accompany me?"

"No, it will just be you, it would be too suspicious for the Stormtroopers to see two new faces, however, one isn't as doubtful." Ahsoka Tano replied.

"Sure, I am of your succeed." Yoda commented, smiling at me. That gave me confidence, they confided in me, in that I would destroy the Death Star all by my own.

"Thanks for your trust, when does the mission start?" I asked, the shocked face I made some seconds before had completely disappeared. Now I looked convinced and self-assured.

"Well, as you know, we all have an important Jedi meeting tomorrow, we need you to be there, so I would say you leave the day after directly from Coruscant." Obi-Wan answered the question.

"We will give you your ship for the mission and weapons the day you leave." Ashoka added.

"Alright, sounds great, see you tomorrow." I said. I was already setting course on Coruscant, to be there on time for the conference, therefore I wasn't far away from the planet.

"Goodnight we wish you, tomorrow we see you." Yoda exclaimed. Then the image disappeared and Zara-3 came beeping into the cockpit. Zara was a gray droid with some blue stripes all over her, despite being a droid she was kind of friendly.

"I am going to bed, goodnight." I said to her, as if she would sleep too. Nevertheless, she was keeping an eye on the ship.
