The interrogation

There I was in a small, plain cell in the Death Star. Captured by the most feared and powerful Sith Lord in the whole Galaxy. Once a great Jedi, admired by many people including me and his own sister, whose heart broke the moment he joined the dark side to save his loved one, Padmé Amidala. Unfortunately, this sweet soul died short after giving birth to two unknown children. Only Obi-Wan and Yoda know where they are and if they are safe.

My cell was small with only a mattress on the floor, there was a little door that lead to a narrow bathroom. The walls in my room were made out of metal. Everything else in my cell was white.

I had just woken up on the mattress, I didn't know how I survived and why, the only thing I knew is that I didn't want to be there and the most important fact, I failed my mission. I felt weak and devastated when tears started running down my cheeks, what had I done? Did they know I was coming? My crying intensified more and more, only thinking about all the people that were probably worried about me. Willy, Ahsoka, ... Why did I have to be so stupid and kill those Stormtroopers?

Suddenly something else came to my mind. Why was I alive? Why didn't they just kill me? They wanted information about the Jedi order, their plans, their location. All the information I had. My mind block was strong thanks to Yoda, who taught me how to perfect it after my master Quinlan Vos fell to the dark side.

Blocking my mind and hoping another Sith that wasn't Darth Vader would come to interrogate me was the only thing I could do. If it was Darth Vader, he would hear my thoughts the second he walked into my cell, he was too strong with the force. I was just a meaningless Jedi Knight, one more in his immense collection.

Then my cell door opened, and a two meter tall man walked into my cell. Frightened, I backed away, leaning my back against the metal wall that was the furthest away from the door. I closed my eyes shut, scared of what would happen next, only hearing his mechanic deep breaths and his loud and powerful footsteps coming towards me.

All of a sudden, the noise of the footsteps stopped, and I was left with his heavy breathing.

"I see, you have woken up." He spoke.

I opened my eyes to see a machine looking man, standing some meters away from me. He wore his suit, the suit that everybody has seen at some point, the suit of Darth Vader.

"Let's see, you can make this quick and easy, or slowly and painful. Answer my questions." He said in his deep voice that send shivers down my spine. He didn't receive an answer from me, so he started the interrogation.

"Why did the Jedi sent you here? To destroy the Death Star? To kill me?" He asked. I didn't want to look at him, I wasn't planning on answering him any questions. I looked down at my hands to see that I was wearing handcuffs. Concentrating on keeping my mind block as strong as I could, I noticed that my lightsaber and the two blasters I had with me were missing, which wasn't really a surprise.

"Answer!" He shouted. I flinched out of shock, still keeping my vision low. I made him angry by not answering, but still I didn't plan to answer his questions. Suddenly I felt like I couldn't breathe again, he was choking me. I lifted my head to look at him and put my right hand on my neck to make it stop, unfortunately that didn't help much. He continued choking me while two Stormtroopers walked into the room. As soon as the Stormtroopers picked me up from the mattress, he stopped choking me.

I was only carried two meters away from the mattress, to stand right in front of the heartless monster. In spite of my weakness, the two Stormtroopers were holding onto my arms to keep me from falling onto my knees, after removing the handcuffs I was wearing. Using the force was worthless since the cell was impeding me to use my powers, meaning that I was unable to use them unless I was a Sith.

"So, let's try this one last time." Darth Vader said a bit more relaxed.

"I was sent here to destroy the Death Star." I replied. I couldn't do this any more, I was too weak. Thankfully, the bit of information I gave him wasn't going to harm the Jedi.

"That's better, finally an answer. What's your name, Jedi?" He asked me, this time, about myself. That surely couldn't harm the Jedi order.

"Lillian, Lillian Bershka."

"Good, Lillian, now tell me, what are the Jedi planning on doing next?"

I gave no answer, and I wasn't going to give one, although I vaguely knew the answer. They could choke me all they wanted. I wouldn't betray my order like that.

"No more answers? Do we have to skip to the painful way?" He asked, sounding a lot calmer than I expected. I was afraid what he meant with "the painful way" but I would have to deal with it.

Another Stormtrooper entered the cell and walked towards me until he stood right in front of me. The other two Stormtroopers that were holding me tensed their grip around my arms.

"Do it." Darth Vader ordered the Stormtrooper in front of me.

At that instant, the Stormtrooper started hitting me in the face, causing some bloody wounds on my lip and my eyebrow. My nose started bleeding too.

When my clothes were soaked in my own blood, Darth Vader finally told the Stormtrooper to stop.

As soon as the Stormtrooper was out of the way, I was facing Darth Vader again.

"We will continue the interrogation tomorrow. Now you know what happens if you don't answer my questions." He informed me. The blood loss was causing me a lot of dizziness, so the Stormtroopers were supporting almost all of my weight. The three Stormtroopers started leaving the cell, while Darth Vader was still standing in front of me.

However, the moment they let me go, I lost my balance and fell forward and directly into the arms of Darth Vader, who caught me and then roughly tossed me onto the mattress. They all left, and I was alone with a face full of bruises and cuts. I didn't even have the strength to cry myself asleep, I just fell asleep in the same position he had pushed me onto the mattress.

The only positive aspect of all of this is that he didn't seem to be able to read my mind, which meant that the plans of the Jedi and their location were safe, for now...
