Sully, the Cap Diver
Zoe's view
"So we have the option of either catching fish on the ceiling, killing parasites in slums, or buying food for other Jade Dwellers? Huh, that's an... interesting choice." Fayón, Cas, Darcim, Amari and I sat at a table in a store.
Another day had dawned in Jaidylen, although you can't see that very well in the bubbles of Aquatas. I slept heavenly last night, no nightmares, not a thing!
Amari did the talking while I stuffed my mouth with treats, like sweets in the shape of little hearts called côr candis or a pancake filled with namjaks called dokami.
Fayón had left us a message in the morning that we should meet at a café nearby, it was really fancy here.
"Oh yes, I tell you, catching and selling glovoids is the easiest of all three!" Fayón grinned broadly, Darcim looked closely at the other people and Cás followed my example and ate lots of dokami.
"Oh really? Can't we do all three things?" He nodded slightly and supported his face with his hand.
"Of course, if you manage to do everything! You should be at the hotel by nightfall, though."
"Okay, and what are you doing in Aquatas now? What is your mission here?"
Cás looked up, Darcim glanced over slightly and Fayón also gazed at Amari in mild surprise.
"I suppose you remember what I said last night? Oh, we work with a few companies and deliver products." He grinned broadly again and the other two went back to doing their stuff. Amari gave me a slightly sceptical look and even I, who is known for being a dumbass, realized that something was wrong here.
But it was also really noticeable... anyway, these dokamis are extremely delicious!
Fayón looked at a huge clock in the middle of the city, the so-called Conoxis Tower, which tells everyone whether it's day or night. Amari talked about our whereabouts as we walked to the café.
"It's really late, we have to deliver something and you'd better start with your orders, you know the place and the merchants. Bye Bye!" He stood up and so did the rest of his group, Fayón and Cás waved to us and went their separate ways.
"There's definitely something wrong with them!" I said to Amari, who nodded strongly. "Let's start with the glovoids, because I've thought of something!" she giggled a lot and I was surprised. Amari is in a good mood!
The morning routines of the Jade dwellers was in its full swing, I saw rich and beautiful Zhonéa women walking in the streets with their friends, hardworking Cap Divers on their way to their jobs and children with old and broken patched up clothes playing with their friends.
We passed a child who looked sick, red blisters scattered across his elf face, sitting against the wall of a house, eyes closed, shaking a can with some jaidins inside. I knelt down to him and gave him three jaidins, which he gazed at happily. The boy waved goodbye to me and had a beaming face.
"The poor children..." "I guess they're the ones you can best take advantage of without them saying a word..." replied Amari, looking around the alleyways.
